vliet Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 I'm going to London in November and now google has discovered for me that there a 2 Lego stores in London; one in Westfield shoppingcentre London on the Ariel Way and one in Westfield Stratford Shopping Centre the second one is really close to our hotel. Does anyone know if there are differences like size of the shop, amount of sets/parts they have/sell, or should I just try to visit both. Quote
CamelBoy68 Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 (edited) Hi vliet, They are pretty much the same size and have the same number of PAB wall buckets. The variation in these will only be slight, maybe 2 or 3 buckets different, otherwise they are pretty much the same. Of course, you could visit both, use the Central Line from Stratford and it'll take you to White City or Shepherds Bush where London Westfield's is. Have a look at the iPab section of the Brickbuildr site for a guide to what's available. Its fan maintained, so don't rely to heavily on them cheers CB68 Edited August 16, 2013 by CamelBoy68 Quote
vliet Posted August 16, 2013 Author Posted August 16, 2013 Thanks camelboy68, we're in London for 5 days (mon-fri) so we'll probably visit both. Last june I was in Arhus in Denmark and there is a Lego clothes and toys shop, which is much smaller than any Lego store i've seen so far and it doesn't have a PAB wall (anymore). Quote
Dazmundo Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 If you include Bluewater there are 3 stores. Not certain how easy it is to get too though from central London, we live outside London so drive into Bluewater. D Quote
Darth Dino Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 Hi i just visited the one in Stratford and was "not amused" ;) I took me some time to get there and finally they do not had even a single Olympic fig (2012). The PAB wall i nothing where you should visit both stores. 5 different brick are not worth the traveling time. Just visit one ofbthem and then enjoy London! Dino Quote
AmperZand Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 (edited) Before the store at Westfield Shepherd Bush opened, I used to go to Bluewater. It's *not* in London and quite a drag to get to by public transport. You have to take a train to Greenhithe station and then a bus to Bluewater. But if you're intent on going to as many Lego stores as possible from London, it can be done. The Watford store isn't in London either but can also be reached by public transport. I wonder if anyone has ever been to both Westfield stores, Bluewater and Watford by public transport in a day. Edited August 18, 2013 by AmperZand Quote
CamelBoy68 Posted August 20, 2013 Posted August 20, 2013 I wonder if anyone has ever been to both Westfield stores, Bluewater and Watford by public transport in a day. I did Brighton, Bluewater & Stratford in one day as part of my PaB Crawl.... St Pancras to/from Brighton St Pancras to Ebbsfleet Internation, then bus to Bluewater (train about 17 mins then a short-ish bus ride) Ebbsfleet Int - Stratford Int - about 10 mins, and puts you right by John Lewis at Westfield.. CB68 took me some time to get there and finally they do not had even a single Olympic fig (2012). I think you would be hard pushed to find any Olympic Figs out "in the wild" anymore, you could have rung up the store to check though.... Quote
