With Monster Fighters retiring, is anyone hearing of any new themes for Halloween this year?

Not any new themes, but I'm sure there will be new little store exclusives.

I was actually wondering whether they might do another production run on the Monster Fighters line since they're so appropriate for the season; I could see retailers wanting to temporarily restock them in September / October. I suppose we'd have heard about it already if it were going to happen, though.

Monster Fighters have been just plain vanishing around here. Most of my Targets have cleared them out--I was able to get a Vampyre Hearse at half price. The weird thing is that the only one I still see on the shelves is the Frankenstein Lab, still not reduced in price.

Last I checked, the Lego Stores still had a pretty full stock of them, to include the Haunted House (which will probably have the shelf life of the Modular Buildings). I'm crossing my fingers that they do another Monster Fighters Club Meeting in October as a way of getting out old stock.

I believe they have stopped production on MF at this point and just letting inventory run its course, that was what the manager at my local Lego store said anyway...very hard to find Train here in St Louis

I doubt Monster Fighters was designed as a theme for Halloween. Polybags and such is probably as good as it'll get.

The Dallas lego store had the entire line (Sans the Haunted House) at reduced prices when I popped in there earlier this week, so I doubt they'll be getting more stock to coincide with the holiday.

It's a shame. I wish they'd done a Wave 2 with some newer monsters, like a headless horseman and a Loch Ness Monster (they could have brought back some Dino parts).

I doubt Monster Fighters was designed as a theme for Halloween. Polybags and such is probably as good as it'll get.

Oh, I'm quite sure it wasn't designed as a theme for Halloween specifically; I just think it complements the holiday well enough that they might well have considered extending its run just enough to fully cover a second Halloween's worth of availability.

Certainly it didn't exactly escape occurring to TLG that the theme is suited for Halloween - note how one of the minifigure / accessory collections utilized the Monster Fighters artwork and theming, while being labelled the "Halloween Minifigures Collection," or some such thing.

I hate that I missed out on the The Zombies set. The only ones I need now are the haunted house and the train . Maybe Polly bags.

I don't know about LEGO Stores in general, but the one I frequent is selling _most_ Monster Fighters sets at 20% off. By "most" I mean everything EXCEPT the haunted house, which is still full price (and also the one kit I wish they really would discount). They pretty much had at least one of everything but the train and claimed that they had no plans on restocking once their existing inventory was depleted.

I asked one of the more informed sales guys I know there about Halloween and he just shrugged. He's heard nothing official but assumes that there will be some sort of offering and that it won't be MF related. His money is on a polybag and his guesses are usually pretty good.
