Hi all,

after recapitulating all my technic sets (which are quite all over a certain part count) i came to this regarding the question which models are the most beautiful ones (not the most or best features but the most beautiful)...

dsc_4326_dxo_1.jpg

I took a picture of them: Bike 8420, ferrari Enzo 8653, Crane Truck 8258, Heli 9396, backhoe 8455 and front loader 8459... all of them have a really maximum realistic and beautiful look... what do you think? do have others in mind?

maybe i would add the Ferrari 8145 and the BMW racer 8461 but that's it (but the first one i do not own and the latter one is stored in its box and waits for later rebuild)...

Nice compilation!

The 8258 will probably be high on everyone's list, since is just looks fantastic!

The Ferrari 599 (8145) probably even looks better than the Enzo (8653).

I would like to add these two, since they resemble the real vehicles quite stunningly.

ah, yes, i forgot the 8043 - probably beacuse it waits in its box to be freeded and build by me... ;-) but i wait for a 8878 recharg battary box so i can build Juergens ultimate 8043...

but anyway: you are right, the 8043 excavator belongs of course to the most beautiful models...

For my design taste the "old" 8459 Front loader looks better than the 8265 but of course taste is very subjective thing ;-)

The Ultimate 8043 is awesome! I have built it and it works like a charm.

I am not a big fan of studded designs, so that's where our opinions on the front loader collide :laugh:

I'm sure you have noticed that the 8459 is only studded model in this beauty collection - i admit, i'm a fan of old studded designs (and i'm also a fan of new studdless designs), but concerning look mostly studdless models win...

and: the 8265 is a beauty too, no question...

Btw, I do like the fact you included the helicoper (9396), since I am a big fan of this particular model. It's one of my favorites!

BTW: not really a challenging build but quite straight forward. but this is the only con (apart from the very badly designed winch but this can easily being fixed) of this beautiful Heli:

- very easy and elegantly motrized

- cool features (especially this genius trick to prevent the rotor destroying gears by preventing an abrupt stop (very important when motorized)

- very much room for cool MODs

- very beautiful design

- many good parts for building other MOCs

- very fair price

So i understand your praising: overall definitely a highlight of the technic scheme...

41999, enough said.

oops, how can i forgot this?? yes, absolutely!

I totally forgot the 41999 as well. From the side I think it's a bit too long on both sides, but overall it looks awesome. Especially with the stickers applied.

at least these two (8448 and 8480) are the most beautiful studded technic sets (but they are not 100% studded to be correct) - even if IMHO the supercar 8880 is also a real beauty - or should i say powerful - design - but i admit, that this is probably a minority opinion ;-)

The most beautiful is for me 8466 4x4 off roader, i love the design, th color and everything else

Another is i think the flatbed truck

the 8466 offroader is really cool (so cool that i have bought two ;-).. but then color-scheme is ... hmm, lets cast a veil over this......or with other words: in blue (e.g.) the 8466 would be listed among my other most beautiful.................................................. ;-)

I actually like the design if the 9398 to the 41999. I think the colors make the 41999 more attractive than the overall design of it.

Some of the motorcycles that Lego has done are in my opinion some of the nicest looking models. The street bike 8420 from a few years ago is gorgeous.

I think all technic models have vastly improved since the introduction of the new panels in the 8258 (although I really dislike the new 1/4 cylinder) because before they just seemed a bit.. gappy.

It's the same reason I don't like the flex cable designs for supercars.

In terms of beauty, I'm going with the Unimog, the Boss or the green service truck.

(All very recent I know but TLG have really stepped up their game)

What about 8263 - I love the snow groomer! Just thinking of bying another one from ebay for parts.

8070 (when modified)

8110 has not been mentioned (damn - now it has been  ).

And finally!

41999, because this one is perfect out of the Box!

I am very angry that 8285 is sooo expensive... ;O(
