Okay, anybody who visits the Non System Forum probably knows that a lot of anti Greg F messages have been floating around. Many people here think that he has done a terrible job, and has messed up the storyline to infinity.

Now, as you know, I still am

Not only on the morals side do I agree with you, but I also think that a calm post with no insults makes an argument more valid.

I agree.

I do think that Greg's Storyline goes against the simplicity of what Bionicle used to be, and therefore I think it would be "horrible" in idea for an "old-school" fan of Bionicle. I voice that ver ystrongly, and sometimes get caught up in the heat of things.

I also think he does make empty promises and such and leaves cryptic messages, but I also know that he is a writer, and, being a writer myself, I love to tease. Still, I know it pisses off many people I drop these hints to. My advice for him is just to stop.

You think we could dedicate this topic to calmly and politely discuss Greg in general?

I have always believed in the Do Unto Others rule. It truly is the Golden Rule, and I try to live by it every day.

However, in my honest opinion, Greg Farshtey has already "Done Unto" me, and I treat him as I feel he has treated me and all ol' Browncoats like m'self.

Oh, and I know the "hack" comment was aimed at me ;)

I feel that GregF is just that: A comic book writer. He should really have left the writing of what deserved to be an in-depth MYTHOLOGY to someone who could actually write it. Dozens of organizations with hundreds of uber-powrful people means nothing; its the characters that make the story. Greg Farshtey CANNOT write interesting characters, and has managed to make once-interesting characters bland.

I watch the Anime series Bleach (And I dont even like anime) Because it has an interesting story, intersting characters, and interesting powers. The BIONICLE story seems to be vaguely-biomechanical beings fighting a barely comprehensible war, the characters are flat and bland (as can be seen by the fact that their set bios have NOTHING on their personalities anymore - just powers) and the powers are comical at best, stupid at worst. A Rock/Lightning mix? Gimme a break.

Jus' my 0.07.

P.S.: WHOOO! QUOTE ADAPTION TIME:

GregF: "You're fighting a war that you've already lost."

2001ers: "Yeah, well, we're known for that."

I feel that we do bash alot of unneccissary things on Greg, but, as a fan of BIONICLE from the begining, I have to wonder:

Why do we have to change from the good ol' Toa 'Mata' finding the Great Kanohi, to the underwater Toa Mahri shooting Squids and Cordak bullets at each other?

Why do all all the "green guys" have to be funny and clutzy? Why do all the "fire dudes" have to be bipolar?

Why can't Jaller and Hahli continue a relationship? They've certainly gone from 'tools' to guns; so why can't there be love?

Why can't Greg pull away from comic books? Why can't he meet his true potential and listen to the fans?

But maybe we don't know where Greg is actually coming from. Mabey Schoolastic and LEGO are making this all happen through Greg?
