VKTechnic Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Hello all! I've been working on a Nissan GT-R on my Facebook page, here are some pictures of the project. Some details about the model: Front A-Arm suspension Rear Multilink suspension AWD with three differentials Pneumatic manually adjustable suspension 3+R gearbox with clutch and freewheel mechanism I will continue to post updates here and on my Facebook page. MrNumbskull13 Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Hey fellow TFOL you're GTR is looking great! Looking forward to seeing more WIP photos! :) Quote
jorgeopesi Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 (edited) It looks good, my first supercar MOC was a old Nissan Skyline years ago... it was nice to build a litlle rear steering axle on it . One more thing, with those wheels the car will be huge and weighed much for that engine, I know well because my R8 used the same engine and had similar measures. I'm using quite a bit of downgearing on this motor, so it should be fine. The main reason I'm using the R/C motor is because I haven't played around with it much, I want to get acquainted with it. skriblez Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Looks cool. Will be following your work :) Quote
Jim Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Sweet! I like what I see. Really like the GTR and I am looking forward to see the end result. Quote
jorgeopesi Posted August 1, 2013 Posted August 1, 2013 Watching it in detail I see that it won´t be as big as I think, mine was bigger. You can see in the video what speed I got with the same motor on a 3kg car. Quote
z3_2drive Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 All I can say is...that is real freaking awesome! I hope to build a large scale supercar based on maybe an impreza or Evo X soon. Good luck with the bodywork! Quote
Doc_Brown Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Oooh, will follow this! Looking good. I have a terrible feeling those CV joints will pop tho. Quote
VKTechnic Posted August 2, 2013 Author Posted August 2, 2013 Did you use 2 RC motors or just one? Just one. Oooh, will follow this! Looking good. I have a terrible feeling those CV joints will pop tho. Haven't popped yet! Quote
kieran Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 GTR is a nice car, i like the idea of the ride hight adjustment as well, looking forward to seeing this all up and together. Quote
Polo-Freak Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 Also you can putt the 8880 Tire of the Black Rims ;-) Quote
VKTechnic Posted August 6, 2013 Author Posted August 6, 2013 Are those the wheels from the nitro/f1 2013? The wheels are the same as on the 42000 Grand Prix Racer. I do not own the 42000, but I got the parts off of everyone's favorite, Bricklink. Quote
