I'm going to say that that's okay. We did just invent an entire new planet. But it would be preferable if you stick with existing species. (You can always look for species that resemble the LEGO piece, if it's not a Star Wars piece.)

OK, thank you for the clarification. I guess to make thing easier it's the Ewok or the Abyssin then. I will decide tomorrow :classic:

Gotta go with the ewok, dude. Sheer comedy value dictates it.

(Brief update while I'm here: the Headhunter now has a fuselage, cockpit and wings, but is lacking engines, guns and most of the underside. Stay tuned...)

According to Wookieepedia, there was an Abyssin even in the cantina during Star Wars, so there shouldn't be any issue of them not fitting in chronologically. But I agree, the Ewok is funnier, though I like the look of the cyclops/Rebel pilot combo.

Yes, it's me with yet another question. This time I'm wondering about XP, do you always earn 10 XP per episode or does it depend on what the judges give you?

-Lego Spy

BTW Brickdoctor, I was wondering what head you used for your profile picture? Just out of curiosity. :classic:

It depends on what the judges give you.

It's this one.

BrickDoctor, I have encountered a difficulty and the game hasn't even begun. I read that customs are not allowed. Unfortunately all my stormtroopers (shadowtroopers/snowtroopers/pilots/scouttroopers) have been given small yellow marks on their arms and their helmets (with paint). I did it to make them from a different legion years and years ago.... Will these troopers be accepted in the builds?

As said in the Core Rules and FAQs, only your sig fig may be customized; all other minifigs used must be purist. So since they're not your sig fig, those Stormies would not be accepted, sorry. You could always build something that doesn't involve Stormies, give them new arms and put them in a situation where they don't have helmets, etc.

Its their belts on their torsos aswell... I don't quite see how I can fight off the Imperial dogs without any Imperial dogs (let alone their actual dogs  ). I'll give it a shot but I may have to go missing in action if it doesn't seem like it will work. Thanks anyway.

You should probably wait to see what your exact mission is, and the try to think of ways that you can work towards the goal without actually fighting Stormtroopers. And you picked Pilot, right? That should make it easier considering that Stormies are land troops.

On reflection I rather use my own picture instead of the generic stormtrooper, if it's not too much trouble  .

As much fun as it would have been to be an Ewok, I have chosen to be the cycloptic Abyssin, who at least has a chance at speaking Galactic Basic. Could my Alliance avatar be changed to this one:

With regards to appearances of our sig-figs, mine is an Endor Rebel trooper with a ninja hood thing- will that be ok in terms of conforming to rank? He's likely to hail from Tatooine, so the hood would stop the sand.

When you gain XP, and a higher rank, do you get some troops to command? Like, 10 XP, 5 troops; 25 XP, 10 troops; or does it not work like that?

Not in definite terms like that. But the actions your character performs in your builds should be appropriate to rank, so commanding troops might not be appropriate for your rank. We want to stay away from strict ranks and leave it up to the builders to creatively interpret what they'd be allowed to do. You can always ask us if what you want to do would be all right if you're unsure. :classic:

As long as you don't portray the character as being a commando or a strike team member (as the torso was intended to be by TLG when printed), then I think you'll be fine.

Finishing my final free build before episode 1, keeping the judges busy! Waiting for the score of my last free build so I know if my sig-fig will get a higher rank before episode 1 with my next free build.
