GallardoLU Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 does that mean we have to stop talking about Slave I here? and move it all to the 2015 thread? Quote
Robianco Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 (edited) There's no reason not to believe Cavegod on that date but having read the thread I'm not sure if I've missed something? He made the comment with question marks which gives me the impression that he read it somewhere... maybe along with the price? I didn't read it that CG was giving the January date as a statement of fact. He's a member here too so wouldn't he have commented on this thread about the January date too if he knew the date as definitive? Edited September 7, 2014 by Robianco Quote
Tariq j Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Well the most we know is a "Death Star" sized set is coming out in January. I got the impression that cavegod wasn't 100% sure with the information he gave. Not to say I don't believe him, because I do. It does seem odd that Lego would only release one UCS set this year. That's what I mean... If CG comes out and says it's January and he has a source then I'll believe him... I'm just not sure whether people have read into something that isn't there. A rumour of a January set crossed with a confirmation of a UCS set with no release date and all of a sudden things can get very muddled between sourced information and conjecture. I think it's just a matter of patience and the release date of Slave 1 will be confirmed and we'll then get wind of any early 2015 UCS set if there actually is one. rollermonkey Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 It's just a rumor started by a LEGO store employee. Quote
Spyderlord Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 I somehow get the feeling that we are in for a MF at the end of next year, just prior to episode VII release where that ship would feature. Quote
Mahtion Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Cloud City would make lots of sense, Lando finally gets updated release, there's the Bespin Guard, and if we get an Ugnaut in the rebels set then that's a lot of things to be reused or finally released. Then there's the heavy Cloud City artwork (hint?) on the UCS Slave 1. Quote
rollermonkey Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 You'd prefer the scene where Slave I floats out with the trash? In the OT, how many times is it actually seen? I can't think of a third unless we saw it arrive at Bespin? Quote

Then there's the heavy Cloud City artwork (hint?) on the UCS Slave 1. I agree. The sudden release of many different Cloud City characters in upcoming sets makes me pretty confident that we'll be seeing a Cloud City released in the next year or two. I really hope my thought process is true and this is correct. Quote
hollisbrick Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 It would be amazing if they did a Cloud city like they did with the Jabba's Palace Quote
AFOLguy1970 Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Cloud City would be nice. My preference would be that it is sold in "modular" fashion with multiple sets like they did with Jabba's Palace, rancor pit, sail barge, and desert skiff. This would make it more affordable for the target audience. With the Darth Vader factor, that would imply that there would be at least one $100+ set or it will be a very large single set such as Death Star, Ewok Village, SSD, etc. Quote
tafkatb Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 (edited) That price is not confirmed. It's just speculation from the initial post after the pics/video were posted. Based on what the recents UCS sets went for, I'm betting $249.99 for Slave I. I find your lack of faith disturbing. Of course, you have no reason to trust me, since I'd rather not reveal my source, but I promise it is not mere speculation. Then again, these things can change at the last minute - the Sandcrawler was originally listed at $349.99 before it was officially revealed. Edited September 8, 2014 by Tragic Banjo Quote

I am very tempted to get the Slave 1 though. Quote
Faefrost Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Death Star sized set??? I bet it's a 10,000 piece JarJar Binks statue. The last thing George Lucas signed off on before he sold. Just an extra special love letter to the true fans. Quote

ChiefPie Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 You know what if they didn't add jar jar then the pt would be almost all straight forward war lol Quote
LEGOMAN132 Posted September 22, 2014 Posted September 22, 2014 Not that its the place to talk about a new cloud city set that may or may not come a new cloud car would be great in that set. Quote
rollermonkey Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Since the October calendar doesn't have any release dates, does this mean that the UCS Slave I will not arrive in 2014? Quote

rollermonkey Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 (edited) OK, cool... Also: Just2Good just dropped a bunch of final images for TLM sets and says that he's got the SW final images, too... (And DC, and Speed Champions and others) Now, to wait patiently until he gets around to us for sharing. Edited September 29, 2014 by rollermonkey Quote
Fuppylodders Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 The calendars are already released in the Legoland Denmark store :) Im not sure if they are anywhere else yet though. Quote
Sir_Basil_Ashton Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 I saw Calendar sets in Los Angeles/San Diego area LEGO stores at the end of Aug, beg of Sep. Quote
