just2good Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 From TLG: : Nice, so all I have to do is call for a replacement? Quote
badbob001 Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 So has ANYONE received the correct piece yet? This is the second time I've seen a memo from LEGO that finally got the correct piece but I'll wait for confirmation before making my third attempt. Quote
TheWarden Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 No one seems to have reported receiving the corrected part yet. A Lego CS rep said there warehouse is still showing the wrong pieces and that the corrected pieces are now being printed at http://www.bricksetforum.com/discussion/11555/spelling-error-in-cuusoo-bttf-de-lorean-set/p2 I'm going to wait a few months before putting my first request in. Shame we can't get a "official" response, other than the outdated Cuusoo page. Maybe in the Ambassadors forum? Quote
Dog Ironbones Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 Wow, what a thorough review. You have now made me want this set even more. Quote
Dapper-D2 Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 This set has grown on me. I just ordered one today and should have ordered two. When I think of all the building challenges that go into building a model like the DeLorean at this scale and all the display options with this, Kudos to the Lego Designer for making this CUUSOO set even better. Love it and love the movies. Quote
badbob001 Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 (edited) I finally got the correctly spelled piece from LEGO. When I went to replace the part in my model, I noticed that ALL the grey 1x1 cheese slopes are cracked. That is about 10 slopes. Will LEGO replace all of them? Should I even bother if I'll just end up with 20 cracked cheese slopes? I'm don't think I want to even check my other models for similar cracks. Edited July 8, 2014 by badbob001 Quote
peter_m Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 I have all of the 1x1 slopes cracked in my 10220. I think it is a matter of poor design... Quote
TheLegoDr Posted July 8, 2014 Posted July 8, 2014 Typically they will replace cracked pieces, but they keep making me jump through hoops. Most sets I have to send them a receipt to prove I own the set. It seems they don't do this to everyone, so I keep getting the shaft. Anyway, I'd request extra cheese slopes, but more than likely the new ones will crack too. I don't think I own any that aren't cracked. It seems like a poor design of the piece because of the small connection areas. Quote
