grum64 Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 (edited) I cant stand not building a lego set. As soon as i get one, I have to build it right away I agree completely about the urge to build. I build every day I can, usually at least 3-4 days a week (sometimes 7!) & for around 6-7 hours but still don't seem to make much impression on the pile of sets which just seems to keep growing. Personally I think it's witchcraft! Edited July 8, 2013 by grum64 Quote

dr_spock Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 I have two Technic sets waiting to be built. 8053 Mobile Crane 8071 Bucket Truck Quote
Lipko Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 I also start immediately with building when I arrive home from the shop. The only two exception were 42011 and 42010 as I only bought them for the parts, I didn't even build them. But time is another issue. After a hard day at work I usually don't have the mood to sit on the floor for an hour or so and dig through boxes of Legos and MOCing. Quote
The Ghost Racer Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 (edited) I can't wait to build a set that i buoght, it's impossible for me to resist xD Edited July 9, 2013 by The Ghost Racer Quote
Cwetqo Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 This is technic subforum, so only technic sest count, right? Currently I have unopened and waiting to assemble: 42009 Mobile Crane Mk2 9397 Logging truck 42007 Motocross bike I will build 42009 very soon and leave 9397 for december (I usualy left flagships for christmas season, but this years crane is just too tempting for that). I will assemble 42007 on my summer vacation. I have lots of other sets unopened, because i just dont have space to have them all assembled (Pet shop, town hall, palace cinema, helms deep etc...) Alternator Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Not so long ago I had about 30 - 40 sets of varying sizes and themes waiting to be built. Basically I picked them up because I knew I wanted them and didn't want to miss out. But lots of different factors such as work, other hobbies, free time, space etc got in the way of me cracking into them! I got stuck in about a month ago, cleared most of the smaller sets and have been doing 1 - 2 a week on the bigger ones. I did get a little spooked actually, as I had found defects with three of the sets... Most of the stickers for the Millenium falcon were peeling, a piece of train track was warped, and I had a long 2x12 plate that was broken in a star wars set that was out of production :S... Got them sorted by Lego but it did prompt me to get into these sets! You don;t want to sit on a set for years and open it just to find damaged parts. As for Technics, I try to get most of the sets but some I'm not as fussed on as others, so I have the black logging truck 9397, and the flatbed truck which I have yet to build and I keep putting off. Most of the larger sets aren't opened instantly anymore and are saved for an idle weekend instead. Quote
davidmull Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 Iv got a new misb 8436 to build, everything else is built apart from my neatly boxed 8868 :) Quote

Jim Posted July 11, 2013 Author Posted July 11, 2013 LOTR tower of orthanc. I'll start this big boy this weekend The Tower was standing next to the UCS X-Wing in de Lego Store in Cologne. It's pretty awesome!! I would really like to see some (more, if the tower can be designated as one) UCS LotR sets. Quote
