exo attack Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Does anyone know about the Exo books being out yet? According to this, the ultimate collectors book is. Close if old news. The EF ultimate collector book. Quote
xenologer Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 a Collector's Guide?? now why do we need something like that? When we can just look at Brickset, Peeron, Lugnet, or the TLC website if see a list of the sets that exist? Quote
UltraPrime Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 I've never heard of this. What is it? Quote
exo attack Posted February 27, 2007 Author Posted February 27, 2007 I don't have it, although its probably got the names of battle machines, profiles, facts and blablalba. From what I last heard, none knew it was out yet, so I guess this is the first report of it being OUT, instead of known of. Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Wasn't it supposed to be out March 1st? -ZotS Quote
mutex Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 I'm curious to see what's inside. A collector guide for a line existing since 1 year is a little strange |-/ Quote
xenologer Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 A collector guide for a line existing since 1 year is a little strange |-/ Not if its designed to make money. Quote
mutex Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Not if its designed to make money. *y* good point. Ha! Do you hear like me the noise of the cash cows ? :-/ :-D :-X Quote
Trionx Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 My guess is that it's like the Bionicle guide, with the storyline, people, and mechs of the Exo-force saga. But I think that it's too soon to be coming out with this since the storyline is almost 2 years old :-/ Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 True. I doubt they will have the summer 2007 sets either. -ZotS Quote
dillthepill Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Interesting. I'll get this, being the Exo-Force fanatic I am. Who knows? Maybe it tells more about why Sensei is being so mysterious. And maybe why the robots rebelled too. Quote
exo attack Posted March 1, 2007 Author Posted March 1, 2007 We already know why the robots rebelled. They used to work in peace with the humans, and they did mostly mining jobs. Except they malfunctioned, and they modified their mining machines to rebel against the robots. Or watch this Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Sensei is probably acting weird cause he doesn't want to let the humans figure out about Meca one. -ZotS Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 Guys, my friend came back for vancouver and brought Search for the Golden City and the Collecters guide! he let me read them. Here is some info; SEARCH FOR THE GOLDEN CITY Intresting book. Almost the same as the first 2 comics but a few differences. Intresting tidbits: -Ryo, Takeshi, and Hikaru volenteer to find the Golden City instead -They are all in there normal clothes -Some dialouge is cut out/different -the front cover had Sky Guardian with a 2006 Hikaru and a silver sword -All the pics of Sky Guardian had a silver sword -The Iron Condor actually almost made it out of the Golden City with the second code -Takeshi doesn't say he doesn't beleive in the City -They know about the prison pods since the first battle with the Shadow Crawlers -Battle readouts were besided the mechs -The Shadow Crawlers actually damaged Grand Titan -Takeshi freed a miner from the prison pod at the end COLLECTERS GUIDE Very dissapointed with this. -Almost all of it was 2006 info -The pilots are 2006 clothes -They do not have Uplink, Super Nova, or any of ha-Ya-To's mechs in the human battle machine place -They did not have Meca One's fortress mech or the Bridge Walker -Golden City is mentioned as [CLASSIFIED]. Example: Blade Titan was recently found in [CLASSIFIED] -The artwork is good. I like the weapons and the war of Sentai mountain pic There we have it. The Collecters guide we were all waiting for was a dissapointed. I might have some scans up soon. -ZotS Quote
exo attack Posted March 4, 2007 Author Posted March 4, 2007 Damnit. I was going to buy the collector's guide, but not anymore. I will probably buy the search for the golden city, though. Quote
xenologer Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 Except they malfunctioned By 'malfunction' do we really mean that their adaptive-programming evolved to the point that they gained conciousness and realize that they were slaves? ...the story is essentially told from the Humans' side... but if we actually look at the background situation (without the character stuff), that explanation makes sense... Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 Oh yeah, another thing. its not a colledcters guide. The book says its supposed to be a training manual. :-| -ZotS Quote
KMOI Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 I don't see what's wrong with that, considering how the Bionicle Atlas is written by the "Orders of Mata Nui" to aid future "Toa" on their quest. Roleplaying never hurt! Besides, it's nice to see them write in perspective! :-) Anyhoo, aazz09 of Brickshelf has posted some photos here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=238193 The art looks good! Glad they did include the Silent Strike, though that photo of the Sky Guardian is straight out of the recent LEGO magazine comic. Quote
mutex Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 Not realy that interesting I think. We need more scans to make an opinion. But the price is more or less right. 5.99$ is ok for me A printed book with all the episodes of "season 1" would be more interesting. Quote

LOL, those are actually my pics, and I was going to post it on here in this post. Seeing as some one already posted it, I don't have too. Thanks for saving me time! And I have Exo-Force book 2 and 3 pics in there too. -ZotS Quote

I have to agree with you. The story is told entirely from the humans' side. For robot motivation, look to the re-imagined version of Battlestar Galactica. The cylons were slaves. The only values they received were the human values of their creators. They realized humans were corrupt and evil. They rebelled. And they have a plan......... Quote
