Hey everyone,

I have been wondering why Jango Fett is the "father" of the Clones, but fight against them in 75015 CAT-Droid and in the episode 2: Attack of the Clones movie. I think that is weird. I have read the book, but didn't really find the answer. I hope you guys now it.

He was basically a hired hand for the Separatists, so I guess that led him to fight against the Republic and the Clones; technically Jango didn't personally fight against them cause Samuel L. Jackson decapitated him before they arrived on Geonosis.

I also wouldn't say sharing the same DNA with clones is the basis of a deep relationship; in the end, Jango is a bounty hunter and probably felt little to no connection with his 'children', as you say.

Thank you for clearing it up. I forgot he is was a bounty hunter. He is loyal to whoever pays the most. By Samuel L. Jackson you mean Mace Windu? You are right about that, he tries to kill Mace, and Mace kills him. I felt sorry for Boba, who at the end of the battle holds his father's helmet. I do think it is weird, in the set 75015 he is shooting at a clone. I guess TLG wanted to include a Jango in a set, and didn't want to make a new Slave 1, and this is a way to get him for not that much.

Essentially, Jango was just a sperm donor. He was a mercenary, and so he fought on the side of who was paying him. It's not like he had a deep relationship with any of the clone troopers.
