Cerebros Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 When the new sets of Star Wars came out in pictures, l knew there was one set l am going to get! As a fan of Boba Fett and Jango Fett, l wanted to get this set mainly for one reason: Jango Fett Minifig as l missed out the original one. I am not good at reviewing lego as l am poor with words therefore l just show the photos: Jango Fett Minfig: Quote
jimmynick Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Is the same or a different mold used for Boba's and Jango's helmets? I can't quite tell. The set itself looks fairly decent. Quote
Legomaster34 Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Thanks for the pictures! This is actually the one set from this summer's Star Wars wave I plan to get, for the same reason too: Jango Fett! Quote
miles teg Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Ok, youve just convinced me too ! There go's my 'OT only' rule well and truly ! That Jango looks very nice. Any idea on the price for the uk ?? Quote
TheLegoDr Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Thanks for showing pictures. I was planning on getting this set for Jango as well. I'm not a huge PT fan, but at the same time, there are a lot of cool characters in those episodes. From looking at pictures, you'd think they'd be the same (for character likeness, but also to keep mold costs down), but looking at the side they do look slightly different. But upon further inspection, I'd say that is the printing making them look different. The lip above the visor on Jango's looks higher, but I think the printing going higher gives that effect. The set itself, I don't know how much I care for. However, the more I think about it, the more I think I can create something with some of those pieces. Quote
Brickdoctor Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Thanks for the review! Somehow this set seems a little... more gappy? lightweight? not as bulky? as the previous version. I can't put my finger on it. Regardless, I think TLG did well making this one of the cheaper sets that still includes sought-after minifigs. I won't be buying it because I have the old Jango Fett and because I'm not a PT fan, but I imagine that with a Clones clone, a Geonosis B1, and Fett in this set, it'll be an easy decision to buy for plenty of fans. legofreak86 Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 (edited) Such an awesome Jango Fett to think we've waited so many years and now TLG has delivered a completely movie accurate Jango Fett he will be joining My Boba from the 2012 skiff. Plus a new Dooku in the same year and Yoda from prequels TLG are spoiling us!!!! Nice review though! Also just realised 100th post that was quick! Ok, youve just convinced me too ! There go's my 'OT only' rule well and truly ! That Jango looks very nice. Any idea on the price for the uk ?? £19.99 on the Lego shop!!!!!!! Cheap as chips! as Dickinson would say... Danial21 Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 (edited) I agree, the Jango Fett looks perfect, only complaint I have is the cheapy little pistols... Also, savage oppress, I think we get the point, you've been asking about the US release of these sets on numerous different threads now, it's getting annoying Edited June 8, 2013 by Danial21 Quote

Danial21 Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Dude chill he was actually asking where cerebros got the set from that doesn't mean he is asking when/where the sets will be released in the US Actually if you read what I said, he has posted in other threads a lot of times asking when and where the sets will be released. Actually if you read what you said and what I said. My comment is still valid as he in this thread is technically not asking when the sets will be released Quote

I'm not looking for an argument and its not really that big a deal so I'll say no more. Edited June 8, 2013 by Danial21 Quote
HawkLord Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 The helmet definitely looks like the same mold. Maybe the colors are just throwing things off alittle. Overall, I'm in for the set just for Jango. Ilike the Tank Droid well enough, but it's never been on my list of "must have" vehicles. If this set had a repeated Jedi in place of Jango, for example, I wouldn't even bother. Quote

Yeah, I have both and can confirm they're exactly the same mold. The chrome printing really does it for me, it's stunning. Quote
North Lego Star Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Thanks For the Great Review Cerebros! Well, The only tthing that makes this set good is really Jango. I personally think the 2009 Tank Droid had a much better design, offered some more playability and was more of an Army Builder Set. The Jango is great though and if lego didn't release him in the Advent Calander, I would had to pick him up. The Clone just there and the Geonosian Battle Droid is cool, but the color isn't right for it. Not a great set, but if you didn't have the 2009 Tank droid and wanted a Jango, it's probaly a must buy. Xcod119 Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 I saw these sets at the Lego store in Sheffield Meadowhall at the weekend Quote
Studebricker Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Not bad -- It looks like they did Jango's helmet in pearl grey so that's cool, but then they sort of cheaped out on his blasters. They did a one only mold for Dooku's saber hilt, why not a one only mold for Jango's blasters? oh well... Quote
