The designation is derived from its distinctive colour scheme, shape and its ability to hyper "jump" out of trouble.

The above shots show the crafts adaptability - It's smallest silhouette enables it to travel at greater speeds and fit through confined spaces. When extended it's wings provide a more stable platform for upgraded weaponry.

Cool MOC! I assume that the design specs included the ability to cross intergalactic highways without being crushed by oncoming space traffic...a major hazard for amphibious fighters, I hear!
