jimmynick Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 You might want to consider some SNOT to cover up the bottoms of the plates on that grey building, but on the whole this city is rather astonishing with its varied styles of architecture. The stands in your stadium are very clever. I'd really love another view of your opera house, because that has a great shape as well. Keep building and expanding Brickville; it's wonderful! Quote

I ran out of light gray tiles and trees so it is not yet complete. Quote
Phazon Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Something different for a change, looks great! I especially like the contrast between the higher buildings and the more rural area. I'd like to see more pictures, if that's possible. Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Beautiful work Luap31! This is very impressive, I love the scale. There are some very interesting techniques and use of some interesting parts, for instance, the basketball hoop train station. Excellent work Quote
Kristel Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Wow, this is amazing! I've seen your skyline picture and some of the individual buildings before, but hadn't realised that they were part of this amazing layout. I love how you've incorporated all the different districts seamlessly. Just looking through your photostream, the interior of the stadium is very cleverly done and I also like the pavilion done with the Bionicle pieces. DId that make into the layout? I can't spot it. Artifex Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Brickville is just amazing! The pic looks like a SImCity screenshot! Very cool city! Quote
timmyc1983 Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Awesome! I'm not normally a fan if anything out of minifig scale but this truly spectacular. The amount if detail you achieve in that scale is unbelievable! I can't wait for more updates and new builds :D Happy building XD Quote
tomdobs55 Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 There's so much going on here I love the interesting work arounds in microscale. And I actually like the way the exposed underside of the plates look on that gray building Quote

Thanks! The pavilion is in the layout but is just blocked by a few buildings in the foreground, Quote
SalvoBrick Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 This is totally different from my Brickville Awesome job! Quote
Trance89 Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Absolutely fantastic job! I guess I've seen some of your buildings on Flickr before but I didn't know the whole scene was this big. Such great variety and contrast. by the way: Is the Opera house on the right from the architecture series or did you make it yourself? It looks like t's from the architecture series but it's too small on the picture to see it good enough. Quote

I have a couple of Architecture sets dispersed around Brickville. Quote
Trance89 Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 The Sydney Opera House is an official set. I have a couple of Architecture sets dispersed around Brickville. I see. So my guess was right. Now you mentioned placing other architecture sets in here I took another look and directly noticed the Brandenburg Gate. I think most of the architecture sets fit perfectly in here. Quote

B34TBOXX5 Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 The pic looks like a SImCity screenshot! SimCity was the first thing I thought of too! Looks awesome, man Quote
TheLegoDr Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 Incredible scale. Incredible detail! Very impressive. I never think to build in that scale. I have enjoyed in building the official mini-modular scale, but that is still a large scale compared to this. Very interesting piece usage to achieve the intended look. Keep up the great work. I will definitely check back for inspiration and updates. Quote
