I knew exactly what parts I had originally planned to use. But, I fell into a classic artist trap... I got too interested in experimenting to see if I could mount that troll face to the chest that the whole thing evolved around it. This proves that if I had stuck with my original idea, it would have been a better model from the start. Quote

You have an idea, you do it poorly, then you scrap the build and do it again until you've got it down pat. Or you just move on to another idea. XD Quote

Thanks for looking in on my stuff, bro. It's not just his advice; it's something MOCcers everywhere deal with. You get an idea, you sidetrack, you go back to your original idea, give up, and then find out the sidetrack has given you ideas for how to build the original better.
