42000 Grand Prix Racer parts question

HI Guys, Our local Toyworld is having a sale next week and I am looking at getting the 42000 and using it mainly for parts. My question is can you use the rear axle and front together and have Front wheel drive with steering. I am not just buying it for just that but also other parts for future MOC's

You can put a CV joint in the front axle, and transfer drive to it. Depending on your setup, You'd have to remove some parts from the original design. You'd have to modify the suspension a bit, but it's quite possible.
