Jim Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 It seems the Lever Small Base with Light Bluish Gray Lever for the UCS MF 10179 will be available again soon. Great news! It's in the new architecture United Nations set 21018. http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=76519 http://www.brickpicker.com/index.php/lego_news/view/lego_architecture_21018_united_nations_headquarters Quote
harmacy Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Are you sure? They look white to me. If you have a look at the 3 of them at the bottom right, there is a LBG plate to the right, and a DBG tile to the left. I gotta say though, Im very impressed at the part usage for the fountain. Quote
Jim Posted May 12, 2013 Author Posted May 12, 2013 Darn I guess you are right. My bad. I was wondering why I was the first to post this I was still waking up The fountain is quite nice indeed! I do love most of the architecture sets, but they seem so expensive. Quote
harmacy Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Trust me - No-one would be more stoked for TLG to rerelease those levers than me! Having just completed Bricklinking the Falcon, ISD and the DS2 (sans the uber expensive parts), decent priced levers would be amazing! Quote
merman Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Yup white... Are black levers a good replacement or does it look ugly? Quote
harmacy Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 I just used the lever bases in their place. So the levers, without the levers.... Still looks great though. Quote
Jim Posted May 12, 2013 Author Posted May 12, 2013 Yup white... Are black levers a good replacement or does it look ugly? I have seen pictures (still need to build mine) and black looks okay. Harmacy's solution sounds cool too. I will try them both. Quote
henning1010 Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 I went for old grey levers for the top and black levers for the bottom. I like it a lot that way. You can combine old grey levers (with black base) with the new ones quite easy. In my opinion you only see the difference if you know it. Quote

I combined thoses LBG bases with some old light gray levers I got for cheap on bricklink. Nobody will ever notice any difference...I had some (12?) LBG levers that I also used and they look the same as the old grey ones unless you know it and look specifically for the difference... Quote
Jim Posted May 14, 2013 Author Posted May 14, 2013 Thanks for the tip. Very easy solution. Used ones are practically for free on Bricklink Quote
modsbytweek Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 I used black levers with gray base and I think it still looks awesome but I will have to keep an eye out for replacement levers as I order more items from bricklink. Quote
