Optimax X Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Yeah, cos i could not get on my computer, i desided to make a big model from my viking sets, i call it the supper battle ship. front with catapults down. Front with catapults up back So, comments? Quote
Wowplayer Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Hey, your ship uses an interesting build which I like. The only thing is its kinda hard to see the whole ship, at least from an overall view. Do you think you could post a picture maybe from the side, or maybe looking at it from an angle so I can see the front and the side of the ship at the same time? Good job though, keep up the work :-) Quote
Optimax X Posted February 16, 2007 Author Posted February 16, 2007 Thanks. Yeah, i did, but for some reason my digital camera deleted it just as i was uploading the pictures. I'll get around to it tommorow morning. Quote
Wowplayer Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 I'll get around to it tommorow morning. Cool *sweet* I look forward to seeing it Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted February 17, 2007 Governor Posted February 17, 2007 Am I looking at the wrong thing because I see something with wheels and wings... Or are those round things shields? Quote
Optimax X Posted February 17, 2007 Author Posted February 17, 2007 Am I looking at the wrong thing because I see something with wheels and wings... Or are those round things shields? There shields, i have just taken a picture of the side: I added the wings to the side to stop it falling over, with the big catapult in the middle, it kept falling over, so i put the wings on and all was solved. side The long thing on the rear in the tail from the dragon in the fotress set. Berry Syedow Posted February 20, 2007 Posted February 20, 2007 Heh, heh, as Asuka said, this is one heavily armed viking boat. There are too many catapults on the boat for my taste, but it is an interesting build. I like the use of the wing pieces. I could imagine that when the vikings tamed their fiery foes they might use them to transport their boats across inconveniently placed land masses. Someone should get to work on this MOC idea! By the way, what type of camera were you using and was it positioned on a tripod at the time? (Have you also considered resizing your photos? It adds a bit of professionalism to your MOC folder and can be helpful to those without high-speed internet.) Quote
Optimax X Posted February 20, 2007 Author Posted February 20, 2007 Well it's just a cheap digital quick, easy picture one. Don't know it's name. No, for a camera so small we don't need a tripod. I don't have any programs like paint of photo shop programs so i can't resize them that easily. Thanks for the tips, and yes, the catapults (espacially the big one in the middle) made it unstable, so the wings are just stabalisers. Quote
Berry Syedow Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 Well it's just a cheap digital quick, easy picture one. Don't know it's name. No, for a camera so small we don't need a tripod. Hmm, you must have incredibly steady hands! Every time I try to photograph a MOC and I budge the camera just a little the whole picture is ruined by bluriness. :-/ I don't have any programs like paint of photo shop programs so i can't resize them that easily. Not even a basic photo editor of some sort? For some reason I thought one of these was mandatory on every computer, but I guess not. *wacko* Pity I don't have any suggestions that are cheap or free... maybe someone else does? Quote
Sir Dillon Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 Hmm, you must have incredibly steady hands! Every time I try to photograph a MOC and I budge the camera just a little the whole picture is ruined by bluriness. :-/ It looks like he just has the flash on. If you use the flash the pictures are almost never going to be blurry, I don't think they look quite as nice though... One thing you could try is using just a stack of Lego bricks as a makeshift stand. That might help a little for the blurriness. Quote
Optimax X Posted February 23, 2007 Author Posted February 23, 2007 Well i do have paint shop pro, would that work? Quote
Berry Syedow Posted February 24, 2007 Posted February 24, 2007 It looks like he just has the flash on. If you use the flash the pictures are almost never going to be blurry, I don't think they look quite as nice though... Ah, I hadn't taken that into consideration, Sir Dillon! One thing you could try is using just a stack of Lego bricks as a makeshift stand. That might help a little for the blurriness. I've attempted makeshift stands varying from books to duct tape (suddenly I'm reminded of an old thread...), but the main problem is that I'll budge the camera a little too much when my finger presses down on the button to take a picture. I'll have to ask for a tripod on my birthday, since it seems like the best solution at this point. Well i do have paint shop pro, would that work? I've never dabbled in paint shop pro, though I'm sure someone else, here, has. *Hopes someone helpful sees this thread* Quote
