Hi,

Having found gangster's minifig in the #5 serie, I wished to associate it with an old car of the 30s.

I was inspired by the car of the fire brigade. Here is my black old bangle!

Openable trunk can contain a suitcase or some bank notes....The violin case perfectly takes place behind the seats.

I am waiting the parts for the white version!

Doesn't look bad at all. But when you posted the car (or a slightly different version) here in January I already said that I think it might be a problem to derive a car from a truck: It's much too tall, which could easily be seen with a fig at the side.

Plus I agree with LT that doors are missing. Would be very difficult for the gangster sitting shotgun (pun intended) to keep balance in curves when trying to aim at whatever. In fact I don't know any car of the 30s that looks like this.

When searching for inspiration concerning cars of that era I recommend the Vintage Car Group over on Flickr - not because I've founded it, but because there are quite a few very elaborated vintage cars in minifig scale by advanced builders like Legohaulic, Sir Nadroj (Jordan Schwartz, original designer of the Palace Cinema), L@go, snaillad, -derjoe-, Kris Kelvin, Steffen Rau, legomaniac and a lot more. We can learn a lot from them.

Hi,

Thank you all for your comments! I have to admit that this car is not a version of a real model of the 30's. So, I will try to make something more realist and thank to ER0L for the link.

I just wanted to built not expensive models with existing parts to add it to my fire brigade. I have improved this one and now it is finished: I think it is a good one. It is the reason why I share it.

Here is the next one (a MOD of the red car from set 20100 of 2008) with 2 doors )))
