WesWilliams Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 Has anyone seen this yet? http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=233924 Pretty cool if you ask me. That transmission is awesome. The Chevy symbols in the front and back are pretty slick too. Sorry, I think that I posted this in the wrong forum. Could some nice Mod please move this? *sweet* Quote
xenologer Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 Thanks for the link. hmmh, I'm starting to think that I do not like these 'technic panel fairing' cars. Too many holes in them. Especially after seeing the new Roaring Roadsters Creator set; System built car bodies just look superiour. About the only thing these pure technic cars have going for them now, is suspensions... and really there isn't any reason why you couldn't do that with a System body and a few technic bits in the chassis.... Heres a fine example of what I mean: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=228440 He's taken the largely System f430 challenge body and installed technic features under the hood... -the very pretty hood Quote
WesWilliams Posted February 15, 2007 Author Posted February 15, 2007 That is very true about the panels. I am not a big fan of them either, but I really love the chassis design of a "Real" technic car. It would also be kind of hard to put a working transmission into one of those smaller cars. But then again, these technic cars are quite larger, thus making it easier to install all of the goodies. I think that the guy that build this model in question is all about studless design. I suppose that everyone has their own preference. That car in that link is awesome. I am not a big fan of stickers though. They just make the model look cheesy. El Caracho has the best models that I have ever seen. http://www.el-caracho.de/ If those cars were real sets, I'd be flat-broke. :-) Quote
Optimax X Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 Wow, being a car fan myself, i have to say he has done and awsome job with this, very techincal. I likey- alot! Quote
DLuders Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 To continue this original topic about Crowkillers' Lego Technic Camaro cars, Paul Boratko ("Crowkillers") has added a new Lego Technic 1969 Camaro SS to his website. There are some details on his Brickshelf gallery, but he also posted 21 photos on his website. There are details of the 5-speed manual transmission used in this car. Quote
