David85 Posted February 13, 2005 Posted February 13, 2005 Spider Man 1 was unwatchable, it was SOOOOO terrible. Quote
Vader Posted February 13, 2005 Posted February 13, 2005 Terrible??? well as a long time reader of spiderman i would have to disagree with you, i will admit that the green goblin costume didnt look good IMO but the rest of the film was very good for a comic adaption. Spiderman 2 was better IMO as it explored the myth of spiderman and helped to show the inner confiction of the character. Quote
#1lego freak Posted February 13, 2005 Posted February 13, 2005 But it HAS to be the Green Goblin 2 (harry)... Otherwise the last scenes of Spider-Man 2 would be completely senseless... They have a storyline through the two movies and made the end of part 2 look like the storyline will be continued in part 3, so I think they'll go on with this... But nonetheless they should show us a new villain, and hopefully he'll be as great as Ock and GG (which both were two of the best super hero villains I've seen in any super hero movies.... I don't remember many others that reached their level, maybe the Joker, resulting from Nicholsons great acting skills) there is no "green goblin 2" his name is the HOB GOBLIN X:D Quote

Theres a Green Goblin 2 and its Harry Osborn. Hobgoblin was someone different. Quote
ApophisV Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 As a short-time reader (but nonetheless infected by the Spidey-fewer, thanks to the first movie! :') ) I have to say: A shame I hadn't known Spidey earlier in my youth.... :( But I'm lucky that the German comic book company that puplishes Marvel and DC comics is just releasing a new series with the very first Spidey comics!!! Now I wish I had the money for it.... :'( Quote

Vader Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 Yeah you just keep telling yourself that david :-D :P ;) Ill never understand why most people refer to others that read comics or build lego as geeks, to me building lego is a good way to relax in say the same way as a person may do a crossword or do a jigsaw puzzle. ApophisV Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 For others it's watching soccer games, hacking the internet or sewing or whatever.... If it's about our most beloved hobbies we all are finally some geeks on some ways... ;) Quote

I fully agree. But we are geeks. But unlike normal geeks, we aren't ashamed of our pastimes. Hey, spending money on Lego is better than spending on cigarettes. :^D Matt Quote
Orlego Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 I must have a huge problem because I buy Lego and I smoke. :P Apo, you are right. Everyone in their own way is a geek when it comes to hobbies. I'm happy to share my hobby with others and don't care if people call me a geek or say things behind my back like "he is how old and he still plays with Lego?". ;) Quote

"He's too old for such and such". Its not like we're interfearing with kids. We're playing with construction bricks. And my girlfriend is ultra supportive. Better Lego than another woman (though she doesn't know about me and slave leia!) Quote
