B34TBOXX5 Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 I was doing some eBay shopping for a certain minifig, and tried searching by "price: lowest to highest". I came across these Lego knock-off brand sets, and had a great time browsing through the... unique creations. There's a few I'd like your opinion on... #1. I guess it's a raft? with some sort of fluorescent space buoy on the side? I also like how there is a grappling hook, but no string to attach it. I would say the cable is an important aspect to a winch, but I'm not an engineer... #2. The most stable platform for transporting missiles? A tractor of course. And don't worry about a proper launcher, we'll put that sucker right on the front bumper! Then again, maybe it's not supposed to be a missile, but that's the first thing I envisioned... #3. Some intense SNOT work on this one. Is it a scooter? A motorcycle? I find the pieces on the side to be a bit random... And the operator's vest is simply stunning. #4. This one is my personal favorite. How could something like this make it past the design stage to production??? What on earth is this thing? Why a trike design instead of a quad? What is it supposed to be? So many questions... All things considered, most of the clone brand sets on eBay are pretty cool looking. I obviously can't speak for the quality, but at least they looked like real things! Anyone have any ridiculous Lego clone brand pics? I'd love to see an example of the quality compared to TLG products... Quote
II5hyena Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Well, I didn't find anything quite as peculiar as the examples you showed, but I did find some odd specimens. I thought this was weird because it implies that a woman might drive to work nearly naked. This was probably the weirdest. Why would a company re-create this many train sets? Where do they get the money to do this? Do they actually make a profit from selling these bootleg lego sets? Quote
Mr_Malfoy Posted April 23, 2013 Posted April 23, 2013 Those are pretty weird. I think the train one is the weirdest (copy of the Hogwarts Express?), but I do like the look of the train station, but the one with the almost naked driver is very odd as well. Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 (edited) Is that me or the GOLD MECH should be a little bigger? :D And Does it have BATS as it's armpads? Impresive! Lego will never make such awesome Farm set :( Edited April 24, 2013 by Lordofdragonss Quote

Hahaha I guess it's casual friday... Lego will never make such awesome Farm set :( That's actually a really cool set. I wonder how the quality holds up? There's even a bone over the doghouse door! jimmynick Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 Frisco Fe! The farm set looks really cool as well, but it's nothing an enterprising person could build himself. Quote
Nightshroud99 Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 I think that last thing is some sort of Road Warrior-esque battle trike. Really weird stuff. Quote
