Starwars4J Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 If you look at the picture here you'll notice what appears to be new pieces (at least to me, anyway). What is this piece that connects the bronze droid arms to the body, and the guns to the bronze droid arms. For a second it looked like bley versions of the new gun mold, except they have holes near the butt of the gun. So...any idea? Also, sorry about not inserting a picture, even right-clicking on it won't let you view the image. Quote

Starwars4J Posted February 12, 2007 Author Posted February 12, 2007 Ah, hadn't seen them before. Haven't looked too much at new City beyond the small pictures. Quote
Vader Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Its an interesting new design for the Droideka ill give lego that and from what i can see it looks alot better than the old version. Quote
Brainbox Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Its growing on me. It's certainly interesting yes, but I had a bit of a fondness for the old design anyway. Not really sure why. Quote
sam89 Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 I love the new Destroyer Droid. It's too big, but it's very accurate for the size. Quote
casewindu Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 i dont see why we dont have a female droideka!!!! >:-( lol messing :-D Quote
Skinny Boy Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Sort of off topic here: look at this pic 3PO what is it, Solid gold or something? Quote
casewindu Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Sort of off topic here: look at this pic 3PO what is it, Solid gold or something? Yes! where have you been! Quote
Chuck Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 Yes! where have you been! Well, it was only recently reported in the last few days, windu. Not everyone can visit the site 24-7 ;-) -l2k- Quote
ghoulrealm Posted February 12, 2007 Posted February 12, 2007 What is the piece that holds the feet at 3 equal angles? Quote
oo7 Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 What is the piece that holds the feet at 3 equal angles? Exactly what I was going to ask. Looks new to me. God, that thing is WAY TO BIG. Quote
Scouty Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 It will eat all other droids! Muwahahaha!!! I think it's a 1x1 Brick with the studs on four sides. Quote
Starwars4J Posted February 13, 2007 Author Posted February 13, 2007 It will eat all other droids! Muwahahaha!!! I think it's a 1x1 Brick with the studs on four sides. Except the legs are at 60 degree angles Quote
Vader Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Except the legs are at 60 degree angles Correct you are SW4J the angle at which the legs are held sure dosent look like a 1x1 brick with 4 studs on the side.......hmmmm hope it is something new. Quote
xwingyoda Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 I love the new Destroyer Droid. It's too big, but it's very accurate for the size. Indeed ;-) The droideka is 1.83 meters high whereas the battle droid is 1.91 meters high (and the SBD is 1.93) ;-) Oh well, TLC and scales... :-D *yoda* Quote
Axle Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 I don't think they done the eyes very well.Don't they have two eyes? Quote
Scouty Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 The Droideka is a fairly complex droid, it may have only one eye, I think so. Quote
yellost Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 actually, it's got three eyes. They did it right in the old technic version. (mmmh, my first lego sw set... I remember it fondly, it was the first time I bought a lego set in secret, since my parents didn't allow it... Told me I was too grown up for that... As if that was even remotely possible... :'-) ) Quote
Scouty Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Oh, that is right! They do have three eyes! I thought, at first glance of the Droideka, "bulkyness!!!!!!". Quote
oo7 Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Hey our mystery piece is used again to connect the batcopter blades. I hope it uses standard minifig grasp poles instead of technic axels. Quote
Starwars4J Posted February 14, 2007 Author Posted February 14, 2007 I'm sure it will. However that means the Batcopter blades won't be on too well :-| Quote
Commander Xalax Posted February 24, 2007 Posted February 24, 2007 I like the new droideka. But not as good as the orignal. Quote
Corvus Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 Every time I look at the droideka, I like it even less. It just seems... bottomheavy. Quote
casewindu Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 i think it is way to big and the head lets it down. :-( the last ones had almost no head at all just those droid arms and then a droid body with antennas. This has stupid slanty bricks which make its head look incredibly fat like if it would move the head would go....well...head firt into the ground! ;-) ho i think the old ones were alot better but it wont put me off the MTT! :-D *wub* Quote
