highlandcattle Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Hi all, I got this "new in box" set available for trade. The box has some shelf wear and a dent on the bottom (you can see this on the picture.) Also included is a 1993 and 1995 catalog in used condition. I will only trade this for set 10133 (the BNSF) in new or near new condition (don't care about how the box looks). If nobody steps up by friday this set will go on ebay. I know the BSNF has been on sale in LEGO stores and legoland. So I think you can make a pretty good deal out of this. I really don't want to get rid of this set, but I reaaaally want a burlington. So PM me or email me @ atarianallstarNOSPAM@yahoo.com Picture: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/highland...e/surfshack.jpg
Hobbes Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 Nobody interested? *sing* Honestly? You're looking to trade an 88 piece set for a 407 piece set. I would never give a BNSF for this set alone, you'd have to chip in a bit more. Especially now that the BNSF is becoming extinct. 6595 is a cute set, I wouldn't mind having it, but not for a BNSF...
mutley777 Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 It's not realy much of a deal. You can get the surf shack for only $24 on bricklink and the BNSF is $60 both misb!
highlandcattle Posted February 14, 2007 Author Posted February 14, 2007 It's not realy much of a deal. You can get the surf shack for only $24 on bricklink and the BNSF is $60 both misb! But you can buy the BSNF on ebay for 30 and from lego for 40
Hobbes Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 But you can buy the BSNF on ebay for 30 and from lego for 40 ... plus shipping. And it's still more than the $24 on bricklink, even with shipping. And you'll find a BNSF for 30 on ebay only if you're really lucky...
highlandcattle Posted February 14, 2007 Author Posted February 14, 2007 ... plus shipping. And it's still more than the $24 on bricklink, even with shipping. And you'll find a BNSF for 30 on ebay only if you're really lucky... Okay I just bought a BSNF for 36,99 + the red caboose . I could not stand it anymore :'-( . I remember that this guy was selling the BSNF for only 29.99 on ebay. Personally I don't understand why people offer the BSNF for $60 on Bricklink, I mean you can still buy them from lego at the original price! I toss this set on ebay.
Hobbes Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 I remember that this guy was selling the BSNF for only 29.99 on ebay. That is a good price, but with shipping you'd have the same price as in a store... Personally I don't understand why people offer the BSNF for $60 on Bricklink, I mean you can still buy them from lego at the original price! I don't, either. Probably for people in countries without toy stores... I toss this set on ebay. Good luck!

Probably for people in countries without toy stores... Good luck! I keep forgetting that you can actually buy it from a shop. :) In belgium you can only buy it from lego.com. So I always have to pay the shipping. I bought it from http://www.germanbrick.de/.His prices are a little lower on ebay. and shipping to Belgium is only 6.99 for up to fifty sets! In anycase I've had a spare 12v motor around since october. But didn't have any money until now.
Hobbes Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 I keep forgetting that you can actually buy it from a shop. :) Rarely, but sometimes you can find one... I bought it from http://www.germanbrick.de/.His prices are a little lower on ebay. and shipping to Belgium is only 6.99 for up to fifty sets! Ah, I know that store. His prices are quite ok. Shipping to Austria is about double, but for as many sets as I like. Problem is, only a big order makes the shipping worth it. But I check his store for sales quite frequently...
