New Lego stores opening in 2013

Six years later, Southampton finally gets a store later this year.

So 6 years after it was originally annouced, the Southampton store has opened.  Today was the official opening.  Well it was a nightmare.  Not quite as bad as the opening of the London, Leicester Square store for queue times, but still over an hour+ of queuing to get into the store, and then about another 30 minutes best guess to get through the checkout!  The queue outside would have been shorter had the tills been more efficient.  

 

Needless to say after a 45 mile drive, there was no way my little boy had the patience to queue.  Shame as I was hoping for some pick a brick.  Will have to make another trip in a few months once it's calmed down.  My 3rd store opening I've atteneded.  But the only one I've not gone into.
