How to tell an official LEGO cape?

Hi everyone, I am having a bit of a problem with an old cape I would like to sell. I believe it is the lando calrissian cape from 10123 cloud city. It certainly looks real enough and doesn't have any obvious sings of falseness and inst made of the nasty fabric the customs on eBay are made of. So is there any sure way to tell a fake from a genuine?

EDIT- Just for example purposes, In this picture we can see the fabric looks hard and stiffer than lego fabric. My one is not like this (See picture in 4th post )

First of all, do you remember where the fig/cape came from (buying the set or is it from BL, eBay or other sources)? That should help you narrow the search, I would think.

Other than comparing the fabric with that of a surely official cape, I wouldn't know how to tell them apart, as I have no experience with fabric customs; I just used plastic and paper for the few I made years ago.

Thanks for the quick response, I think I purchased it a few years ago in a bundle of parts on ebay. It included a few decalled pieces so i'm a bit suspicious. Though it came with some with a few parts that came in the city (as well as other sets ) and a darth vader and part of han...
