Peppermint_M Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 I was in TESCO and came across these guys. I am not a fan of Gears of War but I am a fan of cool weapons and the bag tempted me enought to pick up. The guns are rubbery but look pretty cool and fit LEGO figure hands. So, that is the important thing. Quote
just2good Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 I haven't seen any of the packs in the United States (of course, by Erector), only the sets. I wonder if these are only available in Europe. Quote
jimmynick Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 This is very different from the Meccano I enjoyed when I was younger. It was always very complicated to put together, but ending up with a great model made from little bits of metal, nuts and bolts was very enjoyable. This is... icky, I suppose. Though a quick browse through Meccano's website shows they have a Tintin license, and that seaplane looks really good and fun to build. Quote

Woah, what a great license to acquire. I wish LEGO would get it. It is Nickelodeon, you know. Maybe this should become a general Meccano discussion topic? Quote
SheepEater Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 Meh @ those sets. I wish Meccano/Erector would at least TRY to compete with Lego technic and offer large sets with tons of mechanisms and intricacy. You know, like they used to do in the 60s/70s. Quote
