Uthered Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 In the North woods of Uthered's lands there has often been trouble with orcs and other creatures of a nasty disposition. So the lord Uthered set out to build a watch tower to strengthen the area and gain a better foothold in the area. Brickington Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Looks great! Very detailed and structured! You should join the Guilds of Historica. Avalonia is the best guild to go with. Quote
r_history_lego0 Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Great MOC, I like the tower from inside! The natur and the water looks good too.. Maybe only other windows..? Quote
TheLegoDr Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Great build. I like the landscaping and nature of the build. It looks as how I would assume a watchtower to look. As much as I love trees and yours are nothing to turn your nose up at, I would almost think for a military foothold, you'd want to clear away some of the trees near the tower, just so your vantage point could see everywhere. If someone were to get close enough, they may have a natural hiding spot right below the entrance to the watchtower and who knows what would happen from there. That's just my thinking. But otherwise, great build. Keep up the good work! Quote
PassionateMOCNoob Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Love it: the brick build pine trees, the water, the soldiers, the tower itself. Nothing to add! Quote
Mr_Malfoy Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Loving it! Nice trees and battlement (?) on top of the tower! Quote
kermit Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 Very nice build especially the details of the trees and water. Quote
kabel Posted March 12, 2013 Posted March 12, 2013 (edited) I hate to say it, but this moc qualifies you a prime Mitgardian prospect member! Great builder are always welcome in the North!! Edited March 12, 2013 by kabel Quote
Uthered Posted March 12, 2013 Author Posted March 12, 2013 Hey thanks for the kind feedback everyone. I have to agree with you LegoDr that the trees are a bit close for functionality. haha and Mark of Falworth the shutters were definitely inspired be Derfel Cardan, they were one of the most fun parts of the build. Teh Stud Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 Great stuff. The tower is awesome. I love the trees, waterfall, and foliage. Are there bunks somewhere for the troops? Quote
Uthered Posted March 13, 2013 Author Posted March 13, 2013 Are there bunks somewhere for the troops? Well they are on the first floor but there is not a finished interior there. Quote
ManInATopHat Posted March 14, 2013 Posted March 14, 2013 Looks great. Very nicely constructed, smooth edges, nice integration. Nice work! Quote
