Hi,

the arrival of the (two) Horizon express suggested me to change all my layout to fit the new train in it. So I decided to do a central station based mainly on the 2150 but, as always, I am restricted to the colors which I have in my collection up to now.

The rest of the layout is still very under-construction and I am planning to buy some of the modular building series to make a nice downtown.

Here you can find some pics of the station:

I like the look overall, the only problem it is the color... too reddish. I will try to change the windows and make it grey as the windows on the lower floor.

That's a really great looking station and I like your adaptation of the 2150 design. I agree, those windows need to be changed for grey ones, but apart from that your station is excellent. I love the long platforms, but I do wonder if you might need some kind of canopy roof to cover those platforms to keep your minifigs nice and dry should it rain.

Nice to see a terminus station. That Horizon Express looks a bit menacing there, as though it is going to punch right through into the sea opposite! Still a good build, but yes could do with covers to keep out the rain.

Yes, the fiirst thing I tried was to cover with some roofs part of the platform. I still intend to do this. For example I like the model Paris St. Lazare:

which is more in line with the classical style of the station.

Yes that's exactly the kind of thing that I meant, your station would look amazing with a roof like that one.

Ha ha yes I must agree Hrw-Amen, the Horizon Express looks like it's about to beat up on the poor old station building

In Italy and in France we use to have still very small station compared to the trains which stop there. But if I would have infinite money and infinite pieces the station would have been bigger for sure.
