Hi all,

We are hosting a LEGO expo in a couple of months time and as part of this I would like to have a demo course for the 9398 which I can setup.

I have tried to design something but nothing looks that good and I want as much variety in it as possible. One idea I had was to get some gravel and rocks and build a course using them, weight would be an issue.

Any ideas would be very helpful.

@ Paul B: You could go to your local Carpet Store and get some of the used cardboard rolls that once held carpeting. You can usually find them outside next to the trash dumpster. If you use a saw to cut them up into "logs", then glue them together (either horizontally or vertically), they would form a relatively lightweight and inexpensive obstacle course. :classic:

Here is a whimsical render of a Lego 9398 4x4 Crawler atop the Olé Kirk's House (set 4000007). How's that for an obstacle! The render was done by Martin Hronský (Hrontos on Eurobricks), the author of the LDD2PovRay program used here. Olé Kirk is the original founder of the Lego brand. I would recommend you to try with Duplo. It works very well as the sharp edges are easy for the tires to grip on, and because of the big blocks you can build a course in no time... And it's Lego!

Right, We also use Duplo for offroad.

And also good offroad - place different stuff under the carpet and you'll got a good relief;)
