(These passenger cars are based on the work of fellow builder Bricktrix. I based my cars off of his and then simplified them into my own version.)

These cars were built for Great Western in 1923 - 29. They were used until 1948, where they were sold for scrap. Brick Railways Systems (BRS)bought as many as possible from the scrappers, and had them shipped to their new home.

The baggage car was built in 1923. (The windows with vents over them are actually doors.)

The three passenger cars were built in 1924, 26, & 28.

This brake coach was made in 1929, and features a special compartment for the guard. The three black tiles on the the rear of this car are supposed to have GWR printed on them.(for Great Western Railway)

This engine, a London & North Eastern Railway (LNER) class A1, was one of two engines saved in 1960. The original LNER numbers were lost when British Railways took over in 1948, so Brick Railway Systems renumbered them into #515 (for the dark green loco) and #514 for a Reddish Brown engine of the same type.

Even though the two LNER locomotives never would have pulled the GWR cars in actual service, they were put together and seen touring the country in the late 1980's and early 90's.

The carriages are very nice Murdoch17, very representative of GWR appearance.

The loco however needs a fair bit of work to make it look more GWR inspired, for example they only ever built one 4-6-2 loco, their favoured wheel arrangement for passenger loco's was 4-6-0. Also, they largely used belpaire fireboxes rather than round top/tapered fireboxes, and safety valves were usually mid boiler in a distinctive flat topped brass bonnet. GWR also didn't tend to use smoke deflectors.

Ok, I'll admit, the engine looks nothing like a GWR locomotive. I also agree it looks very much like a A1 - 3 type engine with German smoke deflectors installed. I'm going to go back into my original post and change it to be a London & North Eastern Railway A1.

I like the coaches and their backstory, the colors are nice and the tale descriptive, but the engine doesn't seem quite right for the train its pulling.

I'd rather see someone design a Hall or a Castle-class looking locomotive to head this particular train.

I like the engine itself, but it would be better heading a train of different origin.
