I just remembered a funny story I want to share with you. The other day I tried to explain to my parents the whining of the AFOL community regarding the annoying yet everlasting old vs. new grey rant. My dad really did not understand the importance of the difference of those grays (which is really weird since he is so picking regarding colors of cloths and paintings, among other things). According to him, a grey brick is a grey brick even if it is more yellow than blue (if you catch my drift). I finally ended the discussion which was really going nowhere.

That discussion really shifted gear and took a brand new angle after my parents had their bathroom redone. I told my dad that he now totally comprehends that AFOL rant !! Off course he laughed and acknowledged it !! What happened you wonder, here it is: the bathroom has always been grey. The seat and washbowl were bluish grey like the fabric on the wall !! However, my dad picked a new fabric that has a lot of yellow without thinking about the seat and washbowl looooooool. Trust me when I say that both grays in such a small room is ugly !! Loool, feast your eyes on that grayish hell !!

I click on a topic, expecting a nice old vs. new grey debate, and what pops up at me? Large pictures of a toilet bowl! Scared me for a minute there :-D

And I guess experience would be a great tool to help people understand: the ability to empathize. Now go paint half your father's truck in a slightly offset version of it's current color, and the conditioning will be complete! *vader*

I thought for a moment that you flushed all the annoying light bluish grey pieces you had down the toilet :-D

Same here! :-P

And so it seems, the Bley drama doesn't limit itself to the LEGO world!

I was just about to congratulate you for your courageous message to lego as well...

God Bless,

Hey xwingyoda,

how close do the bley bricks match up to the toilet?

i wonder if lego got the bley color from this toilet company.

Same here! :-P

I think there might be a secret Bley society that's slowly taking over the world. >:-) .
