lightningtiger Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 I it ! AWESOME Art-Deco building with a WORKING lift ! Excellent engineering and designing too 'RockYourBlox'.......Brick On ! Quote
L@go Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 As you know, I love most of your stuff, and this is definitely no exception. The colours you've chosen are perfect for the architectural style, and your use of curved elements, slopes and bars is one of the things that really make this pop. Another thing i really like about it is that it's so unusual - I don't think I've seen any MOCs that look like it. The addition of a (working) elevator is something that we're used to seeing from you, but it's just as impressive every time. And the cross-sections really remind me of your early Castlometry stuff, which is still among the most amazing LEGO stuff I've seen. Well done! Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Excellent job RYB! This is magnificent, I love it's shape and colors. Very well done Quote
harton Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Well this is really clever, those amazing details! The color choice is also really great, where did you get all those different pieces? They are not so common, if I'm right. And of course, how can we not talk about the simple but beautifull working elevator, it is really neat. How long does it takes you to make it on LDD? I'm curious. Quote
Kristel Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 This is a stunning building. I love the colour combination, particularly the dark orange trim against the dark tan, and the working elevator is icing on the cake. Well done! PS. It hurts to think about how much the parts for this building would have cost. Quote
soundwave_sw Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Absolutley stunning! The elevator mechanism looks quite ingenious. Does it work smoothly? Quote
cimddwc Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Really amazing building in a beautiful and "rich" color combination. Quote
The Dutch Guy Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Well, taking about a very stunning peace of work. Very wel done there my friend. Quote

I love exploring polyhedrons in MOCs, and the hinge plate has to be my favorite element! Well this is really clever, those amazing details! I purchased most pieces from bricklink, and yes, quite a few were rare and cost a pretty penny. Edited January 28, 2013 by RoxYourBlox Quote
greg3 Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Wow... Just wow!! That's a stunning looking building - the design is perfect (very Art-Deco) and the colour scheme is simply brilliant (I really like the gold stripes/piping) Excellent stuff! Quote
THEBIGYINN Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Very smart, it would look great in a city scene or large moc as the centrepiece. Quote
Vindicare Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Oh...my...!! That is awesome! I love the shape and your color choices are brilliant. That golden touches are great. I would not hesitate to buy this from TLG and would love to add this to my layout. Quote
Man with a hat Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Great work! The colour combination is perfect. It really makes the building. And that elevator is a very clever idea. Quote

cortman Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Love this build! The color scheme is superb and very evocative of Art-deco and the '50's in general. If this would be an official set... oh my. :) Quote
pogie Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Wow! Nicest Deco moc I can recall. Fantastic work. Quote
PsyKater Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 I can just say what others have already said. This is a piece of art (deco). Very well done. Quote
