exo attack Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 I was searching BS this morning and I found this cottage... Again, this is not mine so credit to whoever made it. ;-) Quote
Capn Kirk 911 Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 that's an amazxing moc I love it, epecially all the plants! *wub* Quote
simonwillems Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 It looks beautiful, however I prefer MOC's made out of actual Lego-bricks instead of virtual ones. I did some MLcad'ing myself a couple of years ago, but nothing beats the actual hobby. Quote
Norro Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 I particularly like the built up base the model sits on and the falling shingles, a nice MOC. Thanks for pointing this out. God Bless, Nathan Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted January 26, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted January 26, 2007 That's a beautiful cottage. I would love to see the brick version. If I had the instructions, I might try to build it. Quote
Starwars4J Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 Agreed on wanting to see a brick-built version. The appeal to this is how absolutely REAL it seems (even while being LCAD), it looks just like a real cottage! I love that patio as well *wub* Quote
Athos Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 I'm not real fond of the blue portion, but other than that it is a great building. I love the various level and slopes of the roof. I wonder if it opens up? Steve Quote
dillthepill Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 Is it just my computer, or is it just my computer. I can't see the pics. It says the folder isn't public yet. :-( YAY! This is my 500th post!! I'm a Knight!! And the post that started me as a Knight is in the History and Adventure forum. Isn't that ironic. :-P Quote
pianodude2494 Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 Wow! I must say, that cottage is quite impressive! Although, I would definately prefer a real version. Quote

I agree, but I find MLCad can be fantastic for working out what bricks you need. I've been working on a 20,000+ brick model for the last while, and the computer model is proving invaluable for estimating quantities. You have to be careful what bricks you use, though, as it's very easy to build unbuildable models. This is a beautiful model, but I can't help feeling there might be a few colour substitutions needed to actually build it. And I wish people wouldn't upload BMP images. My broadband went down during the week, so it takesforever to download over dial-up. Quote
mrts Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 Thats a beautifull CAD indeed! I think i would never be able to make something like that in that program... :-) Maybe i dislike the blue part of the building, but i'm not sure yet :-D Quote
