Hi everyone!

I'm a LEGO fan ever since I saw the first pirate ship back in 1990 - The Black Seas Barracuda with it's two masts and white-red sails. I was around 8 or 9 at the time and i couldn't stop looking at the display window where it was displayed. Since my parents were not rich people we couldn't afford it and I remember feeling a bit dissapointed. Still, my dad had surprised me and my brother with the Carribean Clipper and I have very fond memoies of that ship.

This was my introduction to the LEGO world and from that time on me and my bro received many LEGO sets for presents. I used to store them all in a box, empty the box on the big carpet of the living room and just spend hours and hours just sorting everything out. Each piece was carefully separated so I could have a better overview of what I had to build with. Manuals were not necessary as I used to build everything from my own imagination (and I remember the frustration when I was missing pieces to complete my masterworks)

When I finally started college my mom and dad took the opportunity while I was away to send all of my LEGOs to my cousins half country away. I was angry when i found out about it, but it was too late. My cousins were very happy with their new LEGOs and I could just say goodbye to my LEGO friends.

Years have passed but I always remember the great feeling I had while building a new ship or castle. Now that I have a nephew (still too young for LEGOs but we'll get there:) I'm becoming more and more interested in the idea to introduce this wonderful world to him. I also intend to do some building myself

This is why I'm here... To talk a bit with this great community and to pick up new and brilliant ideas for future building.

Wish me luck!
