Hobbestimus Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 This was the most troublesome vehicle I've made. There's a few regrets on the final build, and I may revisit it someday, but I think that overall it fits nicely with the other vehicles I've made and it's recognizable enough to evoke the warm fuzzies in me. Repeter Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 (edited) I am newb around here, but GI Joe, RAH is definitely on my list of customs to get to. I'll most likely concentrate on Cobra stuff too. Thanks for 'evoking the warm fuzzies' in me. Some questions: --will you be making a Wild Weasel for that Rattler? --are your cobra troopers and/or your other Joes (assuming you have more) made with decals? I found a set online and have been thinking of using them. I haven't seen much Joe customization out there that wasn't decals, so I was wondering if anyone had done any machine printed Joe stuff? Edit: Ok, seriously, I just saw some of your posts on Hisstank.com...I am jelly-man!! How did you do these? I must copy you (imitation is the purest form of flattery, y'know). Vindicare Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Awesome Rattler. You definitely nailed it! You even have the rotating wings. Great assortment of vehicles there. Nice custom figs, too. Quote
Hobbestimus Posted January 11, 2013 Author Posted January 11, 2013 Thanks for the kind words, all! I am newb around here, but GI Joe, RAH is definitely on my list of customs to get to. I'll most likely concentrate on Cobra stuff too. Thanks for 'evoking the warm fuzzies' in me. Some questions: --will you be making a Wild Weasel for that Rattler? I stickered him up last night. Need to get his helmet still.--are your cobra troopers and/or your other Joes (assuming you have more) made with decals? I found a set online and have been thinking of using them. I haven't seen much Joe customization out there that wasn't decals, so I was wondering if anyone had done any machine printed Joe stuff?I do stickers for a lot of characters, though I prefer building them without stickers whenever I can.I use a combination of sticker images I've found online and some I've made myself (using paint.net, it's a free download). Just print them out on some sticker paper from Office Depot, cut, and apply. Wish I could machine print 'em. I'd quit my day job and Lego full time. Edit: Ok, seriously, I just saw some of your posts on Hisstank.com...I am jelly-man!! How did you do these? I must copy you (imitation is the purest form of flattery, y'know). Thanks! Copy away. Let me know if you need any sticker images or anything. Quote
ETAV8R Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Neat but I would like to see the second cockpit/gunner section able to hold a figure. Always nice to see stuff from my childhood in Lego form. I have one of these new in box in storage. I used to collect GI Joe. Quote
Hobbestimus Posted January 13, 2013 Author Posted January 13, 2013 Neat but I would like to see the second cockpit/gunner section able to hold a figure. Believe me, I tried. I didn't have the parts for it.I need to research what clear cockpit options might be available and do some brickinking. Quote
