wooootles Posted April 28, 2013 Author Posted April 28, 2013 Thanks all! Glad you guys like it. Great looking bus and that door is very unique (first time I've seen it used) Well Done! Really nice colors and spot on size. I remember seeing the mechanism somewhere else, so it's not completely original But it's pretty much similar to what you'd see in real charter buses. There must be something in the Eurobrick water because I built a bus last night and I saw another one a little earlier on EB. Hah, nice. Must be the minifigs urging a ride to their spring break destination Quote
SearchFunction Posted April 30, 2013 Posted April 30, 2013 Amazing how close your pickup trucks are to these: I guess we must have been similar in thought! I really like your extended cab version, and that large windscreen looks much better than I thought it would. Also looks a lot more heavy duty than the one I came up with. Just a tip: Your can arrange the arms so they don´t stick up in the air like that. Have one fig having its arms down by the sides and you should just be able to have the other fig next to it having its arm a bit up in the air, but not all the way up. Terrible explanation. Anyway ITS POSSIBLE Quote
wooootles Posted April 30, 2013 Author Posted April 30, 2013 How interesting! Anyways, I just tried what you said but it's a really tight fit for the arms on the door sides; being only half a stud closer to the edge (though in my images the arms are raised too high)... But yeah, I don't mind it much though Quote
SearchFunction Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 I should have provided a picture http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/571/figsn.jpg/?sa=0 Quote
wooootles Posted May 2, 2013 Author Posted May 2, 2013 ^I have a full stud width center console between my minifig seats on top of secure jumper plates. I basically crammed a 5-wide interior in a 6-wide chassis Quote
wooootles Posted June 9, 2013 Author Posted June 9, 2013 MOC: Green Public Bus I wanted to follow up my Charter Bus with a different type of bus. What the Charter Bus is to the 8404 bus, this bus is to the 7641/60026 Bus. Same door mechanics as my Charter Bus. Same waterslide decal solutions as my Barnes and Noble MOC. Wasabi District's Public Bus - Green in more ways than one. Electric powered and uses solar panels for clean energy! Oh, and, uhhh, that website is real. Official announcement on my Wasabi District thread soon! Quote
lightningtiger Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 AWESOME bus 'wooootles', nice realistic doors on it too......keep them coming and Brick On ! Quote
Hrw-Amen Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 I always think that having two mini figures side by side is a good thing and have tried this recently with some 6-7 stud wide trucks. I only wish they actually made a 7 wide windscreen and cab roof as it would make the whole process so much easier. Quote
