In search of warm shelter

It is winter in Vurdania and night is coming. Toir, which travel through the country looking for shelter. Luckily, he find a mine.

I did this for CCCX and not able to finish by the deadline.

I like the spotty snow, looks like it's melting or something. The minifig skate is a nice touch too, but I'm not liking the grey tree trunk much. Seems like the tree needs some more leaves or something to flesh it out.

Question. Have you joined Guilds of Historica yet? Your builds have a bit of a gothic feel to them (which I like, by the way) and gothic is something that GoH has sadly been lacking recently. Wonderful and creative build.

That is beautiful. I love the landscaping and the spotty snow as well. The color usage really works in my mind. That is how I would presume a mine to look like. And the gray trunk may be weird, but those olive green leaves . Keep up the great work. I'd love to see more.

That's a great dreary, desolate feel you've built into this MOC, Captain Flint! I like that you built this as a mine - a bit different and thus a noteworthy build. Also great is the inclusion of olive-coloured leaves on the tree to continue the sense of washed-out colours in the environment of this scene.

Awesome. I love the melted snow. The color choices are great.

Agree with others about the grey tree trunk. Black would be better.
