DmChylde Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 I've been tinkering around in LDD to mash up a moc based loosely off of 2 lego city sets 3179 utility truck for tool storage 3677 hi-rail pickup, it must be able to ride the rails But. I frankensteined that idea by adding in a bit more 3221, because I wanted it to be a semi 4205, for its rugged off road look and ended up with is! Quote
DaveBey Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 Very nice! Add a bit of orange trim and it's similar to some of the medium-duty BNSF maintenance-of-way trucks I see around town. Add a bucket, and it'd be right on! Before I scrolled down, I only saw the trucks from 3179 and 3677 and thought, 'LEGO already produced that in 10128!' Cheers from Claremore, Oklahoma USA! wondermonkey Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 Yep, first thing I thought of was BNSF too. Thanks for the inspiration, I think I've got an idea... :) Quote
Mr Copperhead Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 That's very cool! I also like how you added more ties to make the track look better. Quote
stacker9000 Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 Great lookin' truck! Very creative with the combinations. It inspires me to build something similar, but I think I'll make my version a heavy-haul wrecker. Awesome MOC! Quote
zephyr1934 Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Nice build, and that looks better than any of the sets that inspired it. Quote
meyerc13 Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 That's an awesome looking truck, very well proportioned, tons of play features... I suspect many will be using your creation for inspiration! Quote
