Norro Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 I was browsing Lugnet and noticed set 1411 'filming of a pirate scene' (or 'Pirates Treasure Hunt') in the studios line... It's got to be one of the most recent pirate sets... also is that a plain captain's hat, like the one from harbour sentry? God Bless all, Nathan Quote

God Bless all, Nathan If you can call this a pirate set, then I guess it is the most recent "pirate" set and yes that's the same captain's hat like the one from harbour sentry.. Quote
boxcar3 Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 I remember that set was one of those send in # of proofs of purchases to get it. it was on the back of a quaker oats box. Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted January 20, 2007 Governor Posted January 20, 2007 It's got to be one of the most recent pirate sets... I think it was released in 2001 so its not that recent. More recent than the Pirate theme, but obviously less recent that the Pirate Duplo. Coincidentally I've recently won a copy of this set on eBay. Quote

How recently? :-D :-D Seriously, I now want a copy of this set... God Bless, Nathan Quote
oo7 Posted January 21, 2007 Posted January 21, 2007 :-P Studios sure has some weird stuff. They brought back Dino Island minifig parts so they could have 'Mike' with a red J. Thunder hat (?) for this one-minifig promotional set. There are lots of weird studios sets, I think they are mostly all Coca-Cola promotionals; BOTTLES HANDY CAMERA and the infamous NESQUIK BUNNY And Boxcar is correct in his Quaker Oats statement. Seriously, I now want a copy of this set... I don't think Enlighten makes studios sets, only castle, town, pirates, western and space. :-D Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted January 21, 2007 Governor Posted January 21, 2007 How recently? :-D :-D It arrived in the mail mid last week, so about 24th of January 2006... Quote
Scouty Posted January 21, 2007 Posted January 21, 2007 Wow that is recent. Well, this set looks nice. It could serve a purpose as a parts pack. It does have quite an assortment of goodies though :capn: . Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted January 21, 2007 Governor Posted January 21, 2007 I only got mine because it was in MISB condition. Its not something I'd buy for parts because it doesn't really have that much to offer. Quote
oo7 Posted January 22, 2007 Posted January 22, 2007 It arrived in the mail mid last week, so about 24th of January 2006... Hmmm.......Let's think, everyone on this forum should have passed that date a long time ago, so maybe you meant to type January 24, 2007, a day I haven't reached yet, but that could make sence because you would be using the superior Julian calender......... :S Quote
Scouty Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Unless MisterPhes has his own meaning of "recently" wink, wink. I do hopw he means '07. Quote
oo7 Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 How could Jan. '06 be mid-last week according to any calendar? Quote
john cleese Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 i dont think i could be bothered to send in for this nonsense Quote
Starwars4J Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Guys, I think what Phes is saying is that he won it in Jan '06, and it took that long to get to him. Shipping to Austrailia is notorious for long and expensive shipping. That or a bit of a joke :-D doubt it was a typo since that date hasn't come yet X-D Edit: Apparently I was wrong, just ignore me <_< Quote
Governor Mister Phes Posted January 23, 2007 Governor Posted January 23, 2007 Unless MisterPhes has his own meaning of "recently" wink, wink. I do hopw he means '07. "Recently" is obviously a matter of perspective, for example; from a geologist perspective 1 million years is considered recent. However, I did in fact mean 07 but for some reason my keyboard put a 6 where the 7 should be. I must look into adjusting it before it makes any more typographical errors. Quote
