Flipz Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 (edited) "Arthur, I think we're all mostly fine with what we've got, no need to trade our entire inventories..." Too late! Atramor (3/3 Artifacts): Witch's Talisman, Etherial Cloak, Jester's Hat Alexis (3/3 Artifacts): Quickdraw Quiver, Loaded Die, Cultist's Hat Cronk (3/3 Artifacts): Paladin's Armor, Counterstrike Gloves, Cloak of Deception Hoke (3/3 Artifacts): Counterstrike Gloves, Lieutenant's Helmet, Warrior's Treads Dyric (2/2 Artifacts): Ring of Sight, Elaborate Helmet Skrall (3/3 Artifacts): Hunter's Quiver, Heavy Armor, Tricorne Haldor (3/3 Artifacts): Lens of Speed-Reading, Heavy Armor, Pugilist's Gloves Thothwick (3/3 Artifacts): Black Knight's Armor, Cultist's Hat, Paper Doll Nyx (3/3 Artifacts): Robe of the Archmagi, High Heels, Amulet of the Court Arthur (3/3 Artifacts): Robe of the Archmagi, Sticky Gloves, Scarf of Misfortune Phil (3/3 Artifacts): Helmet of Dastan, Ancient Crown, Sandman's Parasol Hans (3/3 Artifacts): Armor of the Arena, Cast Iron Haddon Guard Helmet, Aqua Gear Gnash (2/2 Artifacts): City Watch Helmet, Lucky Doubloon I've divided these up based on who wants to be on what team: I've tried to give the desired Vonnetate party as much Blindness protection as I could, while the Zee party gets elemental abilities and/or Cultist Hats. Based on this, here's what we're looking at for teams: Vonnetate: Dyric Haldor Atramor Phil McColt Gnash Zee: Hoke Nyx Alexis Hans Thothwick Poletad Minor Spire: Skrall Arthur I think that's everyone. If we decide not to go after a minor Spire, then Skrall and Arthur should be split between the two teams. Actually, I'd kind of prefer we only split into two groups anyway, just so we don't lose anyone. "Say, shouldn't someone heal Gnash before we go? Poor fellow's covered in wounds, but he hasn't said a word. I salute your discipline, sir." Forgot to mention, if Arthur lends out the Scrolls, he also lends out the Lens, and vice versa. They're a package deal. Edited February 11, 2013 by Flipz Quote
CorneliusMurdock Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 (edited) Gnash should already have been healed by Atramor. Do friends want to redistribute artifacts as Arthur suggests? (I don't want to make it too hard on Zepher. Could we just say those people have those artifacts instead of manually trading every one? Each player would be responsible for their own artifacts at the end of the quest.) What do friends think of these teams? Fish Market Skrall Atramor Dyric Haldor Phil McColt Hoke Gnash Paladin Shrine Cronk Nyx Alexis Hans Thothwick Poletad Arthur Is Cronk forgetting any being? CorneliusMurdock Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Very well, then. Gnash will go with Skrall. Skrall, Cronk is Skrall in charge of Fish Market party. Pongcanis may be out in large numbers. Be careful and may Ennoc watch over all friends. Hopefully, when friends meet again it will be to take down Wren. Quote

"As to my Scrolls, Haldor, you're welcome to borrow them, but for maximum effectiveness you'd have to borrow my Lens as well. Since you'll have to put up a different Artifact anyway, perhaps I could borrow that Etherial Cloak of yours?" "I've heard that they run some kind of archive there, for keeping records of creatures and beasts that walk this earth. Might be interesting to visit at some point." Haldor accepts Arthur's scrolls and his lens whilst he unwraps his cloak from around his neck; and tosses it over to the Sorceror. "Aye, you're welcome to my cloak while I take these papers off your hands for a while." The nord then stows away the scrolls and wraps the peculiar glass object around his head. Zepher Posted February 11, 2013 Author Posted February 11, 2013 (edited) Atramor successfully uses his scroll of luck before the parties part ways. The fish market party moves to the fish market. The hustle and bustle of the market doesn't seem to have slowed down, but in the corner, down one alley, they see a huge force of Pongcanis. The party walks towards the alley, and soon have Pongcanis at their backs as well. "Hello hello, heroes. Come to die?" "We have you surrounded. Our arrows will rain down on you and pierce your puny hearts." "Step aside. Let me speak with them." The Pongcanis part and the largest Pongcanis of them all, with tattered seared fur and scars all over, steps forward. "It has been a long time since you stood in my camp, heroes, yet here we are again. I see you are weak as ever. I have not forgotten your cowardly betrayal at Haddon. Your betrayal cost my tribe many powerful warriors- now I bare these scars with pride. I alone crawled out of battle, crawled under the dead bodies of my dead men. Now it is my turn. Dyric, the coward who ran in battle, you will die first. And you, the one with the hat- I saw you snivel and shake as I tore your friend apart. You too will fall fast." "You destroyed my village." "Hahaha. McColt you fool. You fight without ferocity, you fight with too much thought. Your village got what it deserved- it fell to my might. Prepare yourselves, heroes. As if we were the ones who betrayed, this would be hilarious, if it were anyone but you who was saying it. I do not see how you cannot realise that you were the last thing that Haddon wanted, and that it deserved. Your rebellion was a hateful and violent affair, no-one would thank you for it. But here we are now, you've really gone downhill since we kicked your big behind back in Haddon, and I'm looking forward to doing it again. So, playing lackey to Wren's whims now eh? How pathetic. Your shot at power didn't last, are you hoping that Zoot will allow you a place at his heel once this is over? I ave no mercy for a monster like you. Waterbrick Down Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 As they walked, Skrall debated, "Gnash, I've got a better idea. Here," Skrall removed his tricorne and handed it to the orc, "It would do ya better to have somethin' a little more protective. Also, if ya wouldn't mind tossin' me back that that doubloon." Then they were surrounded. Skrall bared his teeth but kept his composure as the scarred Pogcanis approached, "It has been many months Vonnetate, some would say not enough. You are a fool to believe that we betrayed you any more than Wren would have done the same. Why do you still fight Vonnetate? Not one of your men died with honor that fateful day in Haddon, the cause they fought for was not one of glory or of nobleness, but of the basest bestial urges of discontent and malevolence. Do not blind yourself into thinking that you can regain anything for them by continuing to serve the will of Wren. I know you are more than a lackey or a servant, you are more than a dog or a monster, you are a leader, a powerful head to which your people look for guidance, do not lead them to further ruin. If you will have no other way, then so be it, but know that you will bring much misery to the generations of your kind to come." Quote
Zepher Posted February 12, 2013 Author Posted February 12, 2013 "HAHAHAHA. You all speak with little understanding of the Pongcanis. We fight because we can, not for a cause. You also say you've changed. HA! You do not change. Once you've been stripped of your honor, you will be dead. My men at Haddon and my men here died with much honor. They fought to the last breath. We do not mind dying- we live only in killing, and die when we have been killed by a worthy foe. That all there is to life. If I stopped fighting now, that would be a disgrace to my people for years to come. After this battle, my children will be able to wear my bones with honor. I killed many in Haddon, but Eubric has so much weak, it is a true feast." "As for a Wren woman, when I am done with her I will crack her open and slurp the marrow from her bones. She is a mortal like you are a mortal, and I will eat her like I will eat you. She has served me Eubric, but when I have had my fill, we will turn on her. So save your words, we will fight to the last breath. Skrall, you led this pathetic band in Haddon, and they seem to cling to your teats for nourishment in the same way now. When they are done suckling, tell me, and we will match swords properly. Quote
