Still no ship. Bought before others.... 100% done with Lego's direct stores. This has happened to me multiple times... It should be FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. I have no idea why they skip me so often.

I am amazed that they did not mark it up. I will probably check my local TRU at lunch.

Oh, something to think about regarding that - often, when a brand new LEGO set first comes out, TRU will carry it at the MSRP for a few days or a week or so before applying their usual exorbitant mark-ups. If I were planning on getting it from TRU, I'd try to do it ASAP, while it's still only $34.99.

That's cause Lego.com sucks and is the only place I have this issue with (and multiple times).

Their computers don't have the actual stock and they oversell like morons apparently.

I got mine today from my local Mastermind Toys, anyone heard of them? This is only in Canada, but they have a nice sizable amount of LEGO to choose from. Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised to find they had 4 Deloreans on the shelf and a bunch of Minecraft sets. It was also 5 cents cheaper. :thumbup:

Going to build it later, can't wait!

You can't really blame their stores or online shop. The set was in very high demand, the servers for S@H are crazy right now with all the traffic, and the stores don't get as much stock. We were told by a LEGO store manager (who is a good friend of ours) that these are selling fast, overwhelmingly fast. However I don't think S@H, Lego Stores, or TLG as a whole should be held responsible, they weren't aware that this set would be so popular.

Note for BE & NL customers : right now it is at 39,99 € instead of 49,99 like it was. For FR it is still at 41,99 €

I quickly made an order, even if it is not available right now, as it will then spare me a visit to the Lille store :D

S@H's servers must be overloaded by the combined demand for the DeLorean, and also for the Limited Edition Crawler... I don't think it was very wise of TLG to make those two sets available at the same time.

Exactly especially when they saw everyone moaning about how the set looked, before seeing reviews or proper pictures of it. They most likely thought that everyone hated it.

the thing is people really really wanted this set which is why when it came out we were disapoited with how it looked cos we wanted it to be great. There was always a lot of people that wanted this set but yes there was a question of how many charged there mind when they saw it. I don't like it that much but still have to have it, I think a lot of people will be the same. It saved its self by being Lego, meaning people can charge the things they don't like so just cos they don't like it all does not mean they wont buy it. I just hope Lego does not think hey people like the hood like that lets make all our cars that way now. :) Edited by SMC

Wow, thx for the heads up!

I hope this is a permanent price because my funds are going to other things right now.
