Oak Maidens

[Rogue Angel]

The Oak Maidens patrol the edges of the civilized lands of Avalonia, driving off poachers that would hunt the wildlife, and fending off the larger predators that wander from the deep woods.

Just wanted to build a little vignette for my Forest Maidens. Nothing special.

How could you end up with so many? Did you bought two boxes? Or did you used the "feel on the content" ? Is whitefangs review right in that sentence that the box only have two forest maidens?

CMF Series 9 came out on Monday, but only at the Lego store. I have made the rounds at the three TRUs in my area twice this week, and saw 2 Chima sets once, but no series 9, so I might not bother looking yet unless it's at a Lego store. I used the feel method (find the skirt, then find trophy, 1x2tile or bow/shield and you're set) and thought I only had 2, but someone else gave me 2 roman emperors, which turned out to be 2 more forest maidens. There are only 2 per box, but it's pretty quick once you get it down.

I found two of them yesterday, but for some reason ended up with three fortune tellers and a Marilyn. I only had time to feel for the skirts. Are there more of the fortune tellers in the boxes? I don't know what to do with those now, but the dress is pretty cool.

I thought I could get away with using the Weasley hair in the back, but Noooo - Someone has to go and point it out. It was the only other earth orange hairpiece I had (I think that's the correct color)

Weird that the low counts are all the dress wearing characters. My Fiance doesn't like to sit around while I do the "feel method" So I have gone back to just randomly grabbing CMFs. Other than the last set, most of the time I want multiples of the majority of the figs so it works out. If I could only figure out what to do with all the skateboarders... But, I think, after seeing this set I will want to take a little bit more time. Your scene is very inspiring, I didn't realize how nice these were going to look.

Yeah, it seems that every new CM series inspires jealousy all around! Myself included...
