If they wanted to, they could throw in a line about Stark having an accident and needing plastic surgery or something, but honestly I think they would just play it that it's the exact same person like they did with Rhodes and Banner. I agree that RDJ has done a tremendous, fantastic job as Iron Man and I heavily associate him with the character, but if a new actor showed up in the part and also did it well, it wouldn't be hard to get over. Especially if they want to continue the MCU for a long time, they are going to have to replace everybody.

Or they could just go into the "Bottom of the bottle" storyline where Stark develops his intense drinking problem and hang up the suit for a while, but I don't see that happening. I think it will be REALLY tough for them to find someone that portrays Stark so well. I get the feeling that RDJ actually lives his life like Tony Stark since he plays the role so perfectly. Sort of like Charlie Sheen playing himself of Two and a Half Men.

It appears the Flacon will be included in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, here's the article: http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/07/16/anthony-mackie-cast-as-falcon-in-captain-america-2

Edit: Sorry for double post.

Don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but Falcon is confirmed to appear in Captain America 2!. He has deep roots with captain America, even his superhero origin!

This means;

1- He will probaly be in Avengers 2.

2- We will probaly get a Falcon minfigure!

Can't wait to see all the promotional soda cans for Avengers 2!

Beat you to it, bilbo!

I just cant imagine Iron Man played by any other actor who isn't RDJ. :cry_sad: But thats what I thought about Tobey's Spiderman though.

It worked for spider man because it was a entire new cast, not just a new spiderman actor.

Yes, but it also worked with Banner, Rhodes, and Rachel in the Batman trilogy, not to mention James Bond. I think it mentally sounds like much more of a problem than it actually is. The new guy might not be as good as RDJ, but you'll be able to accept that it's Iron Man.

Well Cap still is in the New Avengers comics so I think he would stay for sure. The only real issue is with RDJ saying he might not sign on to do more movies than he is already doing.

Hulk on the other hand is going to be interesting because in the comics Hulk gets kicked out of the Avenger's and has a real crazy storyline. I wonder if they will stay true to the comics or sort of create a new storyline since Ruffalo did such an amazing job?

Getting kicked out of the Avengers could be hard to do with Ruffalo, since he never originally wanted to use the Hulk in the first place; and with the threat from Loki gone (at least temporarily), he'll probably wanna stop fighting for awhile. I could see him working for Stark Industries or at least getting the chance to mess around with their R&D stuff; a quick cameo by Ruffalo in Iron Man 3 would be cool.

Whatever Hulk film is coming up next, they should have him utilizing the more intelligent part of his personality again instead of just breaking stuff.

Hulk is bound to be in Avengers 2, fans and non-fans loved him in Avengers Assemble. Why do people even think he won't be in the sequel?

Nobody said he wasn't, we were just discussing whether Marvel would be making a Ruffalo Hulk feature film (Incredible Hulk 2, if that's what you wanna call it). If they took him out of Avengers 2, there would be riots everywhere.

Puny Disney.

HAHA, I love that!

In related news, I think they may be making a new Hulk film, I mean that's far more likely than a Black Widow/Hawkeye film because he's far more popular!

From Wikipedia:

Marvel has suggested a 2015 release for a possible sequel to The Incredible Hulk.[114] Josh Trank' date=' director of Chronicle, had interest in directing the future sequel. The short film The Consultant elaborates on Tony Stark's meeting with General Ross which took place in The Incredible Hulk.[/quote']

Assume this info is right, hopefully the Hulk sequel will be early-mid 2015, after Ant-Man and before Avengers 2. That makes 5 films in between, so it'll be a very tight schedule.

Maybe Marvel is going to try another Hulk movie (though I don't know they should, he might be best for special occasions). Trank will not working on it, he's been signed by Fox to reboot Fantastic Four. (Google "Trank Fantastic Four" to see reports) I really enjoyed Chronicle, so I'm looking forward to whatever he does next.

One thing about Captain America I hope they change is his uniform; to me, the First Avenger costume was far superior and would protect Rogers a lot more even if it is a bit outdated for the modern age. At the very least they should put the chinstrap back on; Chris Evans looked kind of ridiculous when wearing his helmet in The Avengers. <_<

Assuming the sequel to the Incredible Hulk info is right, I would absolutely love the bad guy to be Red Hulk! I mean, it has General Ross, so I guess it's plausible.

I totally agree that Captain America's WW2 suit was the best.

I would love a new Hulk movie in which Hulk was exhiled to another planet just like in the comics. :cry_happy:

I would be all for this as well, I just don't think the average fan would appreciate it as much. Us comic guys would definitely like to see a Planet Hulk type movie

I actually watched Planet Hulk for the first time the other day, and it far exceeded my expectations. I'd definitely pay money to go to the movies and see something like it.

I certainly hope they do bring Hayley Atwell back, albeit probably with a different hair colour or distinguishing feature. She was a superb actress in First Avenger.

I'm sorry, I'm a comic book noob

When does CA2 happen? The first movie started with him being Captain America and ended with him being frozen under the sea and later found in present day.

Will CA2 happen between that time?

After the Avengers, which happened after First Avenger. :classic:

And the general plot outline is Cap trying to adjust to the modern world after being frozen in the ice/time for 70-ish years.
