WesternOutlaw Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 I came across this great Jurassic Park MOC the other day on Brickshelf. I think it's the best Jurassic Park MOC that I've seen. I love the details of the gate, the vegetation, and the box/art work very well done. Take a look: Gallery: Jurassic Park Gallery Quote
Vader Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Lights, camera....Action!!! X-D wow this is great, im a big fan of the jp films and i love the detail. Quote
Hobbes Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Great MOC, and perfectly presented *y* Thanks for the find, Brickster! Quote
Berry Syedow Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Wonderful find, Brickster! I do enjoy the first Jurassic Park movie quite a bit, so it's great to see someone make a JP MOC. I must concur with my esteemed cowboy that they did a great job of meshing the forefront of the MOC and the background together. The LEGO foliage alone is nicely done. It has a very jungle like feel to it. The gate and surrounding walls are also built well. I give my props to the builder. *y* Quote
Norro Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Very nice! Believe it or not I've often toyed around with the idea of doing JP... I've always wanted to do it on a brick built dino/cars that seat 4 figs scale to get in all the detail. But this is a beautiful lego version. I think I'll stick to my own stories though ; ) God Bless, Nathan Quote
exo attack Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Great find, Brickster! If its 922 pieces for the gates, I really want to see the inside! The box art is really good too, and the filming/camera crew are brilliant. *sweet* Quote
oo7 Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Ah, yes, I've seen this before, It's really nice, better than the black one from Brickfest 06. This is Armothe's gallery, the co-owner of Brickforge. Although he's added alot in the Croos-Theme and village themes since the last time I visited. The rolling camerea track, has that been in one of the spiderman studio sets before? It looks pretty intricate. *y* Although Jurassic Park is one of the great aspects of over-used pop culture, there is not much Mocing motential, almost anything that is not a prehistoric animal or a forest (which isn't alot) is way too big. :-/ I was/am kind of disapointed with the movie franchise. The first was good, the second was stupid and the third one abysmal. Read the books people! Quote
Brick Miner Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 I can hardly believe that that set is 922 pieces. It only seems to be about 500 or so.from my experience of building in the LEGO SYSTEM style of building, piece counts add up fast.the builders at LEGO really know how to get the most out of each piece. so, i personally feel, our perception of piece count verses size of model is skewed a little. i feel my piece counts are always high, for the size of my MOCs. id say the same thing happened here. - BrickMiner Quote
