Luke_likes_Lego Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Hi there, I put a pub / hotel / bar in my town and am looking for a LEGO style name to put on it's sign. This is my list......would like to know which people think is the best.....or even better, some new suggestions Short list: The stud and barrel Brickbeard's head The bull and brick The brickwright's arms Marquis of Billund Brick & Whistle Rejects: The stud and flag The minifig's arms The knight's helmet The royal brick The brick shepherd The bishop's plate Brick lion The stud and dragon Brick and crown The barrel and stud Three bricks. Bricklayer's rest The brick and tile Railway tavern Bricklayer's arms Cheers, LLL Quote
lightningtiger Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Interesting list......I'll suggest "Brickworks Tavern". It sounds realistic while still sounding Lego-ish. Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 How about the "Brick in the Wall"... LEGO and Pink Floyd are both pretty cool Quote
Ludzik Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 How about the "Brick in the Wall"... LEGO and Pink Floyd are both pretty cool That would be a really cool one! and btw, "the stud and barrel" makes me wonder what kind of a joint that would be ;) Quote
Luke_likes_Lego Posted November 27, 2012 Author Posted November 27, 2012 Thanks for the suggestions.....as a Pink Floyd fan myself, that one might make The Final Cut Quote
tedbeard Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 (edited) I just (last month) got some 1x8 engraved bricks done that say "Brick & Barrel" "Public House" so I am glad you didn't use that variant. ;) Edited November 27, 2012 by tedbeard Quote

LegoBobby Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 I think the 'Minifigs arms' is actually quite clever when you think about it but I see it's on your reject list. Quote
twenty6twelve Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Out of your favorites, "The Stud & Barrel" is my pick. I could make hundreds more suggestions, but I'll avoid turning this into a 'generic Lego puns' thread.. Quote
Hrw-Amen Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 How about the 'Tile & Plate,' or the 'Stud & Tile.' The 'Plate of Cheese' perhaps? Maybe that would be better for a cafe? Quote
Another Brick In The Wall Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 How about the "Brick in the Wall"... LEGO and Pink Floyd are both pretty cool I'm pretty cool too. Quote
Cutcobra Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 "The Stud And Barrel" sounds really good :). Quote
Bamos Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 The stud and barrel is my favorite also. Or how about. The Brickman Arms The Brickmans Roost Brickmans Pub Clutch Powers Place Powers Pub Bill Quote
LEGO Guy Bri Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 I'm happy to hear read a few, including L_l_L like the name. I felt it appropriate, heck, I might use it one day! I'm pretty cool too. Ha, yeah, I thought about "Another Brick in the Wall", that could be it's sister establishment! Quote
LegoSjaak Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 What about: Bill's Brick Bar A Brick too far The last Brick Brick 'n Breakfast Fun topic! Quote
gotoAndLego Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 The Old Grey Snot's Pub The Brick and Plate Quote
Lyichir Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 If it's a REALLY seedy joint, you could use "The Illegal Connection". Quote
Luke_likes_Lego Posted November 30, 2012 Author Posted November 30, 2012 "SNOTty's Pub" Loving this one !! I think the 'Minifigs arms' is actually quite clever when you think about it but I see it's on your reject list. It was a close call....but I guess, I was after something that would also pass for a real life pub if you didn't think about it too hard. Who doesn't like a good LEGO pun though? .......... I'll avoid turning this into a 'generic Lego puns' thread.. .....per above....bring it on  Snot's Pub If it's a REALLY seedy joint, you could use "The Illegal Connection". Two more favourites !! Thanks for the great suggestions.....looking forward to seeing if there's more...... LLL Quote
