The Kid Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 Okay, I haven't seen this anywhere, so I thought I would post it. Here you can write your reviews for any video game you acquire. :-) My first: Canis Canem Edit --> (AKA Bully) There have been a lot of complaints about this game, mainly for the original title, Bully (which has remained the same in North America). Many thought this school-based adventure would promote bullying amongst youngsters. This is not so. The game is more anti-bullying, if anything. As new-kid Jimmy Hopkins, you must survive at Bullworth Academy, the worst school around. The game opens with you being introduced to the scene, as your 'parents' dump you at Bullworth's front gate. From here you must go to lessons (or skip school, whichever tickles your fancy ;-)), perform missions/tasks, earn cash and strive to survive. Lessons take the form of mini-games. There are 6 types of lessons: English:- Form words from letters. Photography:- Take pictures of various things around the school and town. Chemistry:- Press the correct button as it passes the box on the middle of the screen. Art:- Uncover a picture bits at a time by avoiding obstacles and drawing boxes. There is also Shop and Gym, but I won't spoil anything else. Graphics:- 8 Sound:- 9 Gameplay:- 9 Lifespan:- 10 9 Now it's your turn. ;-) Quote
Scouty Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 Ok a PC only game Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces Of Corruption: Star Wars: Forces of Corruption is a strategic based game. Where you will select units from small infantry to heros like a Jedi or a Sith. From Light vehicles to heavy Vehicles. Land based battles differ from the type of game, Destroy all enemies or Destroy Headquarters. In this expansion pack, you can play as the Rebellion, the Empire or the Zann Consortium. Each side has their special abbilities in order to win the war. Capture reinforcments points, and build up an army to defeat your opponents. Space battles are almost the same types as land based battles. Destroy the spacestation or Destroy all enemies. In a Space Battl, upgrade your space station in order to gather bigger and stronger units. Capture mining facilities and pirate space stataions. Units come from small one-man spacecraft to a large Frigate. In single player mode, play as Tyber Zann as you stop at nothing to control the galaxy! Or corrupt it! The game is alot of fun from what I played. I really enjoy it. Graphics- Depends on your graphics cards Sound- Is great so a 9/10 Gameplay is a 10/10 Overall, I give this game a 5....out of 5. Quote
The Kid Posted January 9, 2007 Author Posted January 9, 2007 Guitar Hero II The follow-up to the popular Guitar Hero, the imaginitively-named Guitar Hero II, along with the first is one of the most original and unique gaming experiences around. It features a unique mini-replica of a Gibson SG as a controller. The gameplay is simple yet challenging: Strum and hold down the correct fret buttons as the colours pass through on the screen. As addictive as it is fun, Hero II includes many modes for beginners through to rock-hard, well, rockers. Four difficulty settings, ranging from Easy to Expert, offer everyone the chance to join in. Try Career mode, and win over the crowd, earning cash to buy new guitars, finishes, songs and more. Alternatively, select quick play for a short blast through a wicked song from one of the many on offer in Hero II's huge playlist. For multiplayer, try the all-new pro face off, where both players perform the same parts of the song. So no complaining about having less notes to play or other tired excuses (ala Guitar Hero 1). ;-) Tracklist examples: Shout at the Devil Woman Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You Tonight Psychobilly Freakout Heart-Shaped Box Sweet Child o' Mine Raw Dog X-Stream John The Fisherman Cherry Pie And many more. There are around 60 songs in total. Graphics:- 8 - basic, but it works Sound:- 10 - it's a game based on sound ;-) Gameplay:- 10 - unique, original yet challenging Lifespan:- 10 - very addictive. You'll go back to it again and again 10 My: 2006 Game Of The Year! TK (This was released in 2006) Quote
