Commander Wolf Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 (edited) Well, I got kind of carried away with the Art Deco business: my last ship had a "splash", this ship goes (at least in my mind) all the way... I'm done with this fad though, as I'm out of those little rounded corner pieces. I think I should set some expectations: it's nominally an "executive cruiser" for lack of a better term, but in this case I envisioned more of a space private jet, and I think I defined the size and accommodations accordingly. Then again, I've only ridden in a small timeshare once, so your mileage may vary. That being said, the design language is much more bus/railcar as that's where much more of the Art Deco I've seen manifests itself. The roof and rear fins have a smattering of SNOT, but most of the construction is conventional studs-on-top. There is also a full interior in a hybrid plane/train sort of style (thank you Santa Fe car set). I would say my favorite interior thing is the doubly angled control panel on the flight deck. And the full Brickshelf gallery as well. Edited October 18, 2012 by Commander Wolf Quote
vynsane Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 Yeah, I definitely get a Streamliner/Futurliner feel to it! It actually kind of looks like a 1950's diner with engines ;-) Quote
DraikNova Posted October 18, 2012 Posted October 18, 2012 Nice Awesome. Is that plate supposed to be a futuristic iPod or similar device? Quote
TheLegoNinja Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Love it! IT definitely has the feel of a private jet! Quote
Commander Wolf Posted October 20, 2012 Author Posted October 20, 2012 Nice Awesome. Is that plate supposed to be a futuristic iPod or similar device? Funny story actually: I pulled that little tablet out of an older MoC thinking the same thing... but now that I think about it, the older MoC was built before the iPad came out, so clearly I predicted the future pretty well there XD Quote
Laura Beinbrech Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 This is a really nice dieselpunk spaceship. It definitely captures the 1940's look quite well with a good color scheme and well-planned interior. Quote
Wedge09 Posted October 20, 2012 Posted October 20, 2012 Nice work  The interior is well planned  Quote
