Just playing around with the idea. And please don't judge me on my sketches, they're really bad! Ha Ha . The sketches were just for me to get a quick idea of the character and nothing else. Hell, they're not even finished ! But that's what sketches are for .

Seriously digging that Hero design. Villain's cool too, but the Hero passes him by laps (I'm sorry, I had to).

Now let's see their cars. Or are you redefining the theme to foot racing, because that would be pretty hilarious actually.

So much detail! (I like the comb sticking out of the back of the hero's pants. ) They look really good. That villain looks like a total slime-bucket; I imagine I would think of evil things to befall him, if he were mine. Heh.

Are you serious? These look like sketchworks of a professional LEGO designer IMO!

The whole concept is very unique and the minifig print designs really look great. My favorite detail has to be the comb of the hero and dice necklace of the villain! Great job!

I like these designs a lot, very creative!! I think the hero looks great, and I like the concept of the villain, but think maybe the mouth for the first two heads and eyes for the last head may be too outside the LEGO "look." I think either way, these are excellent concepts and you brought them to life very well...will echo the sentiments earlier that they are like TLG official looking designs and aside from those parts mentioned of the villain, look authentic. It would be cool to see some other characters in this series!

These are great, nicely stylised! I do echo the sentiments regarding the villains face, though I adore his colour scheme. Loving the little touch of platform shoes too. I too, would like to see more, including perhaps a female participant and a greedy, hot dog guzzling commentator!

I don't like Racers all that much, but this goes to show how awesome any theme can be with some passion behind it.

Thank you for all the nice replies! As for the villain's face, I will probably not be changing too much about it. I feel the smile is what really makes him look like slime so I will probably keep it. As for keeping with LEGO's guideline for faces (whatever they may be), I feel pushing them (if I am) a little might achieve the right feel for the character. The last face is just to be completely goofy !

My real concern is "is the villain look over the top enough?" That's my real concern.

I want to continue this but it will be a slow project. I'm not too sure how well I'll keep this topic up-to-date .

As for cars... that's a different story...
