Carroll Shelby's

I knew this idea would work since late 2011 when i noticed the new shorter mudguards TLG was about to produce for 2012.

After that i was working on it a little bit at a time as i usually do when i want to create something as good as it gets for my taste.

Unfortunately on May 11th the automotive legend Carroll Shelby passed away at the age of 89.

The man behind the legendary performance cars Shelby Cobra, Shelby Mustang GT500, Ford GT40, Dodge Viper... was a personal favorite!

So i thought it would be nice idea to some kind show my respect with this MOC.

I like to think of this creation as a tribute to the greatest automotive icon Carroll Shelby

Let me just repeat my praise from Flickr: It's a brilliant rendition of one of the best-looking cars ever, and as far as accuracy goes, it's right up there with your amazing Porsche. I don't mind waiting for you to spend a long time tinkering with the design, when the end result is as stunning as this.

Thanks a lot my friend it means a lot coming from you who creates also cool cars and understands my passion! There is another one coming from me with this style btw, a 49 Ford coupe!

Wonderful Lego rendition of my favourite car. I always thought a replica kit-car would be the closest I would get to owning one, but maybe I'll start with a Lego version :sweet:

That is simply brilliant. It looks exactly as I would expect a LEGO version to look. The shape and details mesh well together. I may have to try to build my own version. There are too many nice MOCs that I wouldn't mind copying to ever actually get around to making any.
